Large gel cap, some GI side effects at first
I’ve read a lot about lecithin and the pros and cons regarding cholesterol and cardiovascular health. I can’t offer an opinion on that, because the information I have seen goes both ways, so persons interested in lecithin supplements should look it up from reliable sources and make an informed judgment for themselves. I thought it also might be good for Restless Leg, but again, I see that opinions and experience varies. I take this as a choline nutritional supplement. I noticed for the first few doses, it was a little upsetting to my GI system, even though I took it with meals. Best to start this when you can be at home and not at work or in school, if you have never taken lecithin before. After two days however, my system adjusted to it, and no GI side effects at all, even when I later took it on an empty stomach. The gel caps are on the large side, because they contain a lot of lecithin. Not difficult to swallow, but not the easiest either. These are derived from soy. I don’t know if soy vs sunflower vs other sources matters much, but I am happy with this product.

My wife swears by Amazing Formulas Lecithin Dietary Supplement.
The capsule is easy to swallow and causes no stomach upset. She has been using them for years to help with her essential tremor disorder and memory. Lecithin is a key molecule in the brain and nervous system and getting the right supplement quality supplemental lecithin makes a big difference in the quality of her life. It's really important however that the lecithin be made from the soybean and not sunflower seeds. Soybeans have the most perfect amino acid balance for mammal nutrition and this is why it is the protein source of choice by livestock nutritionists. Just a little side insight from a retired animal nutritionist who knows a thing or two about soybeans and it's lecithin byproduct.
