BachmannIndustries Track Voltage Tester

I have known about this little device for a long time. Some folks said it was not accurate or necessary. To find locations of electrical continuity issues, I had been using a multi-meter. That works, but I found it cumbersome to use, especially over scenery and such. This track voltage tester works much better for me.

Each year I put up a N-Scale train around our tv for Christmas and I'd been wanting something to check the track voltage once I "slide/push" the track behind the tv. This worked perfectly to quickly test and let me know I hadn't disconnected a section.

Works like a champ, but remember, it's LED so it's directional! Gotta have it facing the right dorection for the electrical input but it can be a timesaver for track voltage availability.

Smaller in size than I anticipated, but then, it works, and works well...so that is the bottom line. Rigging my layout for DCC and this will be a 'boon' for me...

I was usied to getting out my meter to check track power and then having to put it away. This about and inch and a half square shows imediatrely what's up. And works well for both HO and N gauge.

This is a very simple tool which tells you if you have a good voltage on your track. I was pleased that my DCC system had "high" voltage everywhere (the green light) I take it that means it detected 12 volts. I see my fellow On30 group members using this thing often, and now I see why. It works, and if it works, the layout works.

Nice little device. It makes life so easy when testing for outages, shorts or just a lack of current. Works on a variety of scales:Z, N, TT, HO, OOOO being the widest track. Which means that HO width is your widest because OO is running on HO width track.That being said this device is a keeper!

you can use this to tell if all your track is getting power and where you have a problem. this also works on DCC train track, all the lights will lightup telling you it is good.

All products we received accept the LOCOMOTIVE it did not work had to fix myself and still have received the Woodland scenic package
