This cream deodorant is great and it really works! Just a little goes a long way. Doesn’t not irritate sensitive areas. Highly recommend for active ppl or for Canadian summers.

This non scented product is awesome at killing odor. I also like the cream much more than the deodorant stick bc I feel like the cream controls odor way better. They both have a weird banana smell which lingers with the stick but eventually disappears. The cream smell goes away almost immediately. Neither stops sweat but I feel like the cream does a better job controlling sweat than the stick. To control sweat, I use a little swipe of my dove deodorant over top of lume which works well. Overall I love this product but I recommend the cream over the stick deodorant. Plus it last much longer.

Summary: Positives 1. It is better for your skin than cheaper alternatives. 2. It is not expensive to use because a small amount lasts. 3. It can be effective sometimes for 2 days and sometimes for a lot more. Update: 4. Applyed it for a jock itch, now it is gone, wow. So much healthier than the medications which actually hurt your skin. Negatives 1. Applying it is a little bit involved, and can take a few minutes. 2. One needs a special solution to wash the bad smell off of fingers. 3. Though the bad smell can be managed, it is still awful to experience such bad smell while applying it. Details: I bought a tube of no scent lume. Mostly because the only scent acceptable to wear for a man: silver spruce, was out at that time. I did read reviews of the horrific smell, but wanted to try it anyway. When I did try it, it was horrific. The smell was unbearable to me. When I would apply it with my fingers, it was getting on my fingers, and my fingers smelled horrible, and the smell would not wash out with water or soap, so I stopped using it. Much later, unhappy with other deodorants, I thought to persevere, and to try it again. I found out that after applying it, you want to keep from putting the shirt on for a few minutes. This is to prevent it from soaking into your shirt. After a few minutes, several things happened: it would 1. Stop smelling horridly under my arms( not much smell at all ), 2. Dry out, so I could put my shirt on. I also found out that the horrid smell on my fingers could be washed away with a soap and a light vinegar and water solution. It all sounds pretty involved, so why is my rating 4 stars, which is a positive rating. Well, 1: alternatives are either bad for your skin or expansive. 2: on the subject of expansiveness, this product is also quite expensive. But I use the tiniest amount of it, and it does it's job well, so it actually lasts a while. 3: how well does it actually work? I found out that in the summer, when I tend to sweat more, it is effective for maybe a day and a half, possibly 2 days. But in the winter, when I don't sweat too much, it can last a week or more. I had a minor medical procedure, and could not shower for a week, and it was still working. I was rather surprised. But as soon as I washed, my BO was back as strong as ever, sorry for that imagery. So I know it was lume keeping it down. So to recount: Positives 1. It is better for your skin than cheaper alternatives. 2. It is not expensive to use. 3. It can be effective sometimes for 2 days and sometimes for a lot more. Negatives 1. Applying it is a little bit involved, and can take a few minutes. 2. One needs a special solution to wash bad smell off of fingers 3. Though the bad smell can be managed, it is still awful to experience such bad smell while applying it.

I've been using all natural deodorants for years now. Lume is hands-down the best one I've found. It doesn't stain my shirts, it's easy to apply, and it lasts pretty well (FYI, I only use it on my arm pits). My two cents on 3 things: 1) Smell. I started with the sampler pack. My favorite scent is the Toasted Coconut. After that, I prefer the Unscented. The Coconut starts out STRONG. I put it on one morning and my dad commented right after about how I was definitely prepared to hang out on the lake since I already put sunscreen on. After a while, I got sick of smelling like coconut so I purchased the Unscented. I definitely prefer Unscented on most days. However, if I'm aware I'm going to be extra smelly that day, I'll use the Coconut to help mask the BO instead. As far as the stuff smelling bad out of the bottle . . . I honestly don't think either of the scents smell bad right out of the bottle. Coconut is SUPER strong out of the bottle. Unscented has a smell, but it's not a bad one or a good one. It's very neutral. I did notice a slight undertone scent that I wasn't fond of when I was wearing the Coconut every day. That was part of the reason I switched to Unscented. Sometimes, our bodies react oddly to things. I haven't noticed the same weird smell since I began switching back and forth between Unscented and Coconut. 2) Longevity. I haven't figured this out yet. Some days, it barely lasts one day. Other times, I can go a whole second day and not get smelly. I think there are a few factors at play here: how much you're applying, letting it dry before putting clothes on, and how much sweating you're going to do that day. I think one of the mistakes I've made in the past is not letting the stuff dry on me before I put my shirt on. I would hope that it goes without saying, but if you're going to be sweating a ton (nerves, workouts, yard work), don't expect a miracle. You can sweat through this stuff if you sweat enough. It's just how natural deodorants work. This is definitely the best stuff I've run into so far though. Also, if you're eating a lot of onion or garlic, be prepared to be a little extra smelly. You might need a Coconut scent instead of an Unscented just for a little extra help. 3) The condition of the application area I only use this stuff as on my arm pits, so that's all i can offer advice on. One thing I learned over the years using natural deodorants is that the start of your underarms makes a HUGE difference when it comes to BO. The best result is when you're clean shaven and freshly washed. Here are those steps in more detail: Step 1: shave your arm pits. The hair lends itself to capturing the bacteria that leads to BO. If your pits aren't hairy - persistent BO isn't as much of an issue. I shave at least twice a week. If the hairs get too long, I tend to be smellier. Step 2: Wash your arm pits before applying. With most natural deodorants, the goal is to create a sort of "seal" on your skin so the bacteria under your arm doesn't react with your sweat and you start to smell. If you apply it on top of dirty skin (skin that already has the odor causing bacteria there) then you're not creating a seal against BO - you're just . . . doing nothing really. You're still going to smell. Lume might be a good enough product to not need this step, but after years of washing my pits before applying deodorants, I'm not willing to give up this step. Every thing helps. Final thoughts: Try the sample sizes. Clean your under arms. Wash your clothes (turns out clothes I wore before I began Lume had some latent bacteria on them that started smelling when I began sweating while wearing Lume. I'm trying to remember to wash those sweaters and dresses I only wear once or twice a year).

Say goodbye to B.O.= body odor! We're human, smells happen but Lume eliminates offensive underarm odors. I have only used the unscented Lume cream. Did not care for the stick type Lume, something about the feel of it bothered me. Needs only a pea size rubbed under eat arm pit & it keeps BO away. There is no excuse now for stinky pits or parts!
