I appreciate soft butter; here in the Midwest our summers are awfully hot & the butter has to be kept in the refrigerator all the time. However, with the L. Tremain Butter Bell Crock, this is not necessary any longer. This Butter Bell Crock is the best thing I've purchased since white bread! The lid holds one stick of butter & is placed upside down into the crock; one would think the butter would fall out but it doesn't! There is 1/3 cup cold water placed into the bottom of the crock & this is changed each day. Nothing could be more simpler. This particular brand of butter crock is the best due to what the crock is made of. I plan on giving these as gifts for any occasion in 2014; I suggest you purchase one also - you won't be disappointed!

This dish works so well, as long as water is changed every 2 days, butter stays spreadable and fresh for over a week. Easy to clean and looks great

Love this product. I can’t believe they are not more widely used... I had never heard of one until I came across it trying to find a butter dish that I actually liked. This is so much better... it keeps butter really fresh at a spreadable temperature. I wouldn’t be without it. Really easy to use and looks nice on the worktop too. Delighted with purchase!
