Perfect, strong and lightweight

I know it's not fair to say "This product doesn't work for this use case that doesn't apply to most people", but I'm gonna anyway, because it's important. I'm a photographer. Which means sometimes, I have to use a studio controller for lights. Which means I need that controller to fit. The fitting on this, at least with the A7R4 cage? Doesn't let that happen. And because the A7R4 cage doesn't have enough of the right screw hardpoints, I can't just move it off to one side for handling. So let's talk about how to make this better.1: Build one that accounts for some of the largest full-integration strobe controllers on the market, like the Flashpoint R2 system. You'll have to get a bit creative with the overhang.Or2: Build one that lets you turn it 90 degrees. Seriously. Being able to just take the handle and turn it 90 degrees so I can install it as a side grip would be GREAT. Hell, even if you made it modular, so you could buy the grip itself, then buy an addon for a wired shutter. And I know, you have some other grips, but they're oversized and overpriced(A grip should not cost more than the cage did). This one is the right price, just not the right Feature set or fitting.You're Almost there with this one.

This SmallRig top handle is built rock solid! I love that I can slide it forward or backwards depending on how I have my camera setup and no matter what it doesn't come loose or wiggle when under a load. I mounted my monitor and battery on the front edge of the top handle for the commercial shoot so I could hit critical focus and not one time was I worried that the top handle would move on me. I love that the allen key that is used to adjust the handle has a nifty little recessed spot specifically for it and it is held securely in place with magnets. No more having to look for and dig out an allen key to make any adjustments. I can do it all in a matter of a few seconds. After using this SmallRig top handle I plan on buying two more. One for my Sony FS100 cage and one for my new Blackmagic BMPCC4K cage.

LOVE this handle. Super easy to install, and works well for carrying or even helping stabilize.My only negative comment on this is that the included Allen key doesn’t fit the screws snugly, so it slips when trying to add/remove the handle.
