Airhead Float, 3" x 5", Yellow

Fit and works perfect for anchor line. I use it just in case I drop the rope or for some reason it comes undone. Peace of mind I guess. I have lost an anchor once before. This float would have saved my anchor.

I put this on the end of my anchor line so if we accidentally drop the anchor overboard, it will keep the line floating so we can retrieve it and it does what I bought it for.

Highly visible and easy to use

I used this as a kayak anchor float. It floats. Right on top of the water. Un-freaking-believable! You're thinking it's marketing gimmicks and computer rendering like I was, but NO! The dang thing sits right on top of the dang WATER! The hole in the middle goes all-the-way-through, if you know what I mean. That is, you can pass an anchor rope through. The rope will slide easily through the hole an the weighted end will sink through the water as expected, but the float does not follow! It lets the rope pass while sitting atop the water! I have used this in both still & wavy water along with lakes, ponds, and rivers. I cannot speak from experience about whether it floats in ocean water, stream water, swamp water, or bath water. Your mileage may vary.

I purchased this product from Airhead because the company makes solid products. The ball is sturdy, but has lose pieces of something that rattle inside. This doesn't appear to effect the use and it fits the rode 3/8" x 50' solid braided I ran through the middle. The reason for the three stars versus five, is a company with this great a name should employ a little more quality control to prevent such a simple, but important product from having manufacturing "extras".

We wanted a small float to keep our tow rope from submerging. This float makes it so much easier for a waterskier to see the tow rope as it gets close to them. Exactly what we wanted/needed.

Just right size slides easily on my 3/8 braided anchor line. Added one to my landing net lanyard too.
