Best glycerin soap for me
This is very good glycerin soap. I used to use Neutrogena glycerin soap, but it made my skin a little dry. It also stings my eyes really bad, when it gets into my eyes. But not for this Clearly Natural soap. It cleans well, and keeps skin soft and moisturerized. When I look at ingredients, I do not see some strange chemical items, as in the case of neutrogena soaps. Compared to regular soaps, it does not have lots of foaming, but what I read is that foaming is caused by adding chemicals like SDS and SLES; While high foam can be a marketing tool and is often associated with cleanliness, lower-foam options can be gentler on the skin and provide a more concentrated cleaning experience.

Cleans Your Skin. Does Not Dry Or Irritate. No Unnecessary Chemicals. What More Can You Want?
Clearly Natural Glycerin Bar Soap Unscented was recommended to me by a dermatologist and is probably the best soap ever for people with sensitive skin, eczema, dry skin, etc. This review applies ONLY to the UNSCENTED version. This is about as plain a soap as you can buy. Read the ingredients. The only ingredients are glycerin. 3 different surfactants (a substance that lifts the dirt from your skin and mixes it with the glycerin so it can be rinsed away). And a humectant (seals moisture in after you wash). That is it. What is equally (or more) important is what is not in it. No fragrances. No dyes. No sodium lauryl sulfate. No sodium laureth sulfate, 2 substances usually found in soap that create a rich lather but don't make you any cleaner, plus they dry the skin. No parabens, a preservative that also dries the skin and can be a skin irritant for some people. The soap itself is an odd translucent yellow color (no dyes). The soap itself has a peculiar mild odor that is hard to describe, but it leaves no odor whatsoever on your skin (no fragrances). It creates very little lather. People think a rich lather makes you clean but the truth is it doesn't. Other soap manufacturers put things like sodium lauryl sulfate into their soap which creates a thick lather and makes people think it is making them cleaner. It does nothing but dry your skin. The first week you use Clearly Natural Unscented you may feel what seems like a residue on your skin after washing but this is just the soap holding moisture into your skin, which feels funny if you are used to using the chemical laden grocery store soaps. After a week you will not notice it anymore. The bar is a little small but seems to last longer than larger bars. Just keep it dry when not using, not sitting in water in a soap dish. It is hard to find in regular stores and if you do find it, it is outrageously expensive. Here on amazon I buy the 12 pack usually for $15-$20. A great deal.

Safe, Non-Animal, Non-Chemical Soap Is Clearly Natural Glycerin Bar Soap. Last A Ling Time, Too!
There are a lot of good things to like about Beaumont's Clearly Natural Essentials Glycerin Bar Soap. First, it has no animal products, unlike many glycerin soaps made with animal fat. Second, no animal testing was done. There are no parabens, petroleum products or glutens. Secondly, it cleans very well- in spite if the grease, dirt and general yuck that I get on my hands, face & body. ----- ------ Something else which separates this soap from others, including 365 brand, is that there is no water diluting it. the glycerin content is quite high. --- - --- Longevity? A 4 ounce bar of this soap lasts me exactly 13 days. The 4 ounce 365 lasts five days. The 4 ounce Dove Sensitive Skin lasts 9 days. For 15.00 USD for a 12-pack, it's a bargain, too. ----- ---- As far as atopic dermatitis goes, I've never had a flare up with this Clearly Natural soap. (Have tried all the "pure" soaps on the market. This one wins.) Soap Film On Walls? None with this soap. It rinses cleanly and quickly. ---- ---- Some people mentioned in reviews that it does not lather. Lather & suds are purely marketing and often generated with chemicals, such as sodium laurel sulfate. That is what causes soap film on walls, skin & in drain pipes. (Plus, it's kind of nasty to the skin.) Suds are marketing? Remember back when HE laundry detergents first came on the market? People were all crabby because there were no suds. We are brainwashed to think lather is necessary for cleaning. How an air bubble helps clean is beyond me. ---- ------ ----- Downsides? Not downsides, but suggestions. Realizing that glycerin is a natural humectant I understand the need for a moisture proof wrapper. But this wrapper is difficult to open. I suggest a rip-strip be incorporated. Some reviewers have complained about the plastic wrapper. This wrapper can be recycled with the flexible plastics, such as grocery bags. Many supermarkets have bins for flexible plastic recycling. (Wish Whole Foods would get on board!) But, I'd prefer biodegradable plastic, such as vegetable based. I would pay more. ----- Will I buy more? Not for a long time since a bar lasts quite a while!

Its what you get for the price.
Its very affordable, so i cant complain too much, but it had a terrible lather, melted away in water very fast, and smelt like medicine. But it IS soap, and it cleans your body well enough. Nothing fancy, smells kinda rough if you dont like medicine, and you gotta keep it out of your shower's spray, but other then that it does its job.

Order incomplete and inaccurate.
Order arrived incomplete. Description on the item was inaccurate and confusing.

The description says "Clearly Natural Glycerin Bar Soap, Unscented, 4oz Bar, Pack of 6". I ordered a pack of 6 and received just 1 soap. I paid $28.00 for just 1 bar of soap. I contacted the seller to return the item. The soap alone is excellent for sensitive skin. I have been using this soap for quite some time. It's unscented, it doesn't lather much and doesn't dry out sensitive skin.

It works as stated, though it is a bit pricey for 3 bars of glycerine soap.

Love it, my skin is glowing. Would highly recommend but don’t leave it sitting in water otherwise it will absorb it and disintegrate. Will definitely buy again

This soap keeps my skin moisturised. It lathers really well.

I've bought two lots of these so far and shall be getting more because they are, by far, the best soaps I've ever used. For years, I'd had a really bad skin condition on my hands til I started using these and it has cleared up! I noted some people's complaints of this soap that it has no lather. Well, it does - but as I've said before in other reviews - soaps tend to lather better in soft-water areas. A glycerine soap without a foaming agent, such as this, will produce little to no lather in a hard-water area. I'm in a soft-water area so the amount of lather this produces is fine for me. Also, because it hasn't a huge amount of lather, it washes off very quickly. What you do have to be aware of, though, is that like other glycerine soaps, this needs to be kept as dry as possible in between using it, so if you can, put it in a soap dish with drainer slats. Otherwise, what happens is that it will eventually absorb moisture and go cloudy and will begin to fall apart (this is common to all glycerine soaps). Edit, on 17th November 2019. I'd love to buy more of this soap from Amazon but the price has gone up and right at the moment it's not what I'm willing to pay. Maybe again in the future as I still love the soap.
