No suitable for dt770
I used it on dt770 and the sound was horrible, there was no noise cancellation but they were comfortable.

Extremely comfy, but definitely has different sound profile.
I purchased the Velvet Black for my DT 770s, and I'll start of by saying: These are by far the most comfortable earpads I've ever used. They're extremely soft and cushiony. The black goes really well with the black on the headphones.Now... for my gripe: They absolutely change the sound profile. They're way more open than the original DT 770 pads. They allow a lot more outside noise and sound in, therefor, they let out a lot too. This in turn makes the bass less impactful and not as deep. This isn't an issue, just something I noticed. If you're not SUPER into having bass or care about outside noise, they're some of the best I've used. Period. I did go back to stock, but that's just me.

Great Replacements and Affordable compared to OEM
TL:DR - I’d give these a 4.6 out of 5. Comfortable, affordable, easy to install, look nice too. Not OEM so you won’t get OEM sound. Great replacement for your headphones.I have a 5 year old Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro for reference. They’re comfortable and easy to install and look great too. Due to not being OEM, the sound quality is just a hair off. The mids and highs are just a bit higher, however the lows are very slightly taken away but still there for sure. Also, there is some extra lip that goes around the headphone, so it’s not going to be a snug fit compared to OEM. With these, it’s easy to put on and works perfectly. Overall, these are worth and much more affordable than originals. If you are an audiophile and want to keep everything intact, buy the OEM. If you are simply looking for a replacement, these will do just fine.

Great earpads, but will sound muffled at first.
Jon A pretty much summed up my experience. I will add though, at first I forgot to remove the old padding over the driver, which resulted in an incredibly muffled, and un-detailed sound profile. Once I fixed this, it still felt a bit more boomy than they were before the replacement, but this is due to the thickness, and remedies itself if I push the driver closer to my ear. So it should fix itself once the pads flatten themselves out a bit.
