If you've used a diaper genie before, this is very similar. It makes it easy to scoop and then easy to seal the stink off. It's plastic so, it's about as sturdy as you'd expect plastic to be but, fits together well. Cheaper than a diaper genie too which, I was also thinking about. Fits nicely next to the litter box.

I got tired of throwing away cat waste in the kitchen trash (where it stank up the whole house) or in the outside garbage (where it cooked in the sun and stank up the whole outside area). I got recommended the Genie so decided to try it out and it has been night and day. No more eau de poop throughout the house. I still use litter bags with this system and it's like the poops don't even exist with how little smell there is. 10/10 would put poop in again.

This is my second litter genie and I love it! I had to order a replacement as my old was getting worn after a few years of use. But as someone who lives on the third floor of an apartment, this is a great product so that I’m not carrying a bag of cat litter to the trash outside everyday, or leaving a bag inside my own garbage can. Great value for how long it lasts.

I bought Litter Genie standard pail. I have 2 cats and I scoop about 2-3 times per day, 2 boxes. I do not use the scooper that came with it. I find it too small and flimsy. I use a much sturdier and larger one. I would not recommend putting the soiled litter directly into the pail. The opening is too small and my aim is not great. Soiled litter inevitably spills around the rim. It's too messy. I first scoop into a plastic bag as usual and then dump it into the pail. I find that I need to empty the pail twice a week. The plastic "bag" it comes with is very sturdy and can handle the weight. A lot of plastic involved and a bit of extra expense for the refills. That said, it works very well. It saves me countless trips to the trash and there is no odor in the room at all. It has a very low profile so it's not in the way. It is easy to use. I've only had it a few weeks so it hasn't stood the test of time yet but I wish I had gotten it sooner!

I have two cats and this has been a life saver for us. Very well made and keeps all the odours contained as promised. I am so happy with the purchase.I make sure that I scoop the cat litter in a small ziplock plastic bag first and then dispose it off in the litter genie. That way it locks all the odours in.

I was hesitant to get this based on some reviews but now I wish I had gotten it sooner! I have two cats and I was worried it would be too small - this is perfectly fine. One of my cats drops bombs so I kept having to go to the trash outside to throw it out which was getting inconvenient. I think I’ll test scented or odor blocking trash can bags instead of buying the refills. So we will see. Also if you find the genie doesn’t close all the way, make sure you remove the seal strip on the bag cartridge thing . But overall I would recommend- you can walk by and you don’t smell anything.

I love this!! it’s so easy to remove the kitty litter without making a mess and having to run outside to the trashcan. It’s just like a diaper genie!! I put the litter in doggy bags and put it in the litter genie and it helps trap any odors that may occur
