PENGUIN Peppa Pig: Peppa's Diwali

Diwali is not really Hallowe'en...
Zero context; not informative (I wasn't expecting much from a Peppa Pig book, but this gives you nothing). I am always on the lookout for children's books in my native language, be it Punjabi stories or our (broader) culture being addressed in mainstream books in the UK. The characters dress up, light a few candles, eat loads, watch fireworks. This treats Diwali like Hallowe'en.

Good for a simple intro to Diwali
My daughters nursery told us they would be teaching the children about Diwali in the new term. I did not know much about this celebration before so bought this for my daughter as a simple introduction to it. She loves this book and we have now got other festival/celebration books for around the world. My daughter is so interested in learning about what other things people are celebrating besides the usual UK things

Fun intro to Divali for young children
We bought this for our son who has Indian Hindu heritage but is not around the cultural aspects that often. We want him to understand and appreciate this side of his background and this kind of book provides an easy way in to educate on things like Divali. It's a fun, light way to introduce the festival to young children.

Great way to teach young ones about Diwali
My son loves Peppa pig so this a wonderful way of teaching him about Diwali. We love how Peppa’s family get dressed up and celebrate the festival of light. I would recommend for up to 3 yr olds

Ideal for any Hindu Peppa Fans! Of anyone interested in Diwali
I was so pleased to see this Diwali book for my half Indian daughter, both huge Peppa pig fans. They talk a lot about what to expect at Diwali so ideal to prepare children but it’s a shame there’s no explanation of what it’s about. A must for any Peppa fan though! It’s a lovely book.
