I bought this project being a big fan of Camelbak for use in trail runs and hiking. Unfortunately in its maiden voyage (20 mile run), it felt like the bag was cutting into my skin. I’ve had many camelbak products before and never experienced anything like this. The straps were tight to restrict movement and abrasion. Unfortunately when I finished my run I had blood all over my base layer and the straps had taken a decent chunk of skin off my neck. As such I have had to send this product back.

This is a very simple, stripped down Camelbak that only holds the water bladder. It's very lightweight, so light that the shoulder straps might not be very comfortable if you wore it all day with a t-shirt. I bought this to easily carry water while on my motorcycle, and it's great; it's adjustable enough to fit over my armored jacket, stays secure, and the adjustable straps have hold downs so they don't flap. I don't even notice it's there. My only complaint is that there's no attachment point for the hose and spigot. It would be great if it had some kind of attachment point on the shoulder straps, but that's the only improvement I could ask for.

Nice fit and comfort on the shoulders. Pockets allow for snaks. Good for full day hike.
