Yes, they completely and comfortably cover the ears. I went ahead and measured the inside of the ear cushion and the hollow measures just under 2" by 2.75".

No, they will not fit into a USB port. The male connector will fit into most headphone jacks in any MP3/I-pod or Boom Box. They also come with an adapter to fit into large stereo equipment.

Can I use these in my Skype sessions

It's only headphones without a microphone, but as long as you can plug it into your device you could hear whatever is sound it outputs.
