Once you go to "http://redragonusa.com/downloads" or search for "RedDragon Mouse software" download and install the driver software package you have full light on/off controls! Its the 4th red tab down on the left side of the panel "LIGHT SETTINGS" You do not need to take apart the mouse to disable the lights! Best Regards,
