Easy to install, works perfectly if you can ignore the 3-4 year lifetime
Exactly what I needed for a reasonable price and I was able to easily install it myself. I reused the slotted flow sensor that I ordered separately a year or two ago when that failed.I'd mark this thing down for needing replacement every 3 or 4 years, but when it works, it works perfectly and eliminates the need to put chlorine pucks in the pool. So despite my misgivings, it still gets 5 stars. Just budget for replacement.

Perfect fit and easy to install!
We've had our pool about 4 years and this is my first replacement of the cell. It works great and the price was good. Easy to replace; took me just a few minutes. Just do your maintenance and the cell should last quite a few years.

Promptly returned! Looked like it was previously used.
Absolutely shocked that this item was not marketed as pre-owned or reconditioned. There were gouges out of the plastic near the threading of the cell on both ends. There was also debris (dirt, dust, etc) that was also in the threading of the unit. Last year I bought a different salt cell from a reputable company however I accidentally ordered the model for a smaller capacity so I know what the label should look like. I was a little nervous about this one because the labeling did not match the original cell or the one I ordered last year. It has the correct model number on it but with the other issues with it, it was going back. I returned and asked for a refund because I just can't trust that I'll get another one like it. Since this is financially a huge investment for my family to come up with, I can't gamble on the quality of a product like this. If I did, it could cost me thousands more to correct the damage caused by a sub par product. I'll just pay more and go through the reputable company I did business with last year. This is not an Amazon problem but a third party problem. We just needed a salt cell and not the sensor and stuff. Since we were assured by our friend who owns a pool company that Polaris only sells these units with the sensor and other accessories that would mean that this 3rd party vendor opened the box from Polaris to remove the other items, therefore they should have caught the poor quality of this item. Shame on them.

Works perfectly so far
I was looking for the best value to replacement of my cell, I only needed the cell, not the sensor thought, if this is your case, I recommend this product to replace the jandy aquapure 1400.

No Sensor Included
Make sure you understand what you get.Based on the other review here, I assumed that the kit comes with the sensor. The reviewer clearly stated this, but it does not. The kit ships in the original Jandy box, which states on the packaging that the sensor is included but the reseller (in my case SOS Pool) takes the sensors out and sells them separately. This was confirmed by SOS Pool when I called to ask about the missing sensor. When I recommended that they state in the product description that the sensor is not included, they got very defiant and refused to even consider this. Sure, they don't lie in the product description but they leave out crucial information. You make your own judgement about such a business practice. I ended up returning this one and bought the exact same thing WITH THE SENSOR at a lower price at another online store. My two star rating does not represent product performance but the product/service value you get.UPDATE MAY 23: NOW "Sensor not included" has been added in the product description, therefore I changed my rating to 3 stars.UPDATE OCT 23: I removed the name of the online store where I ended up buying.

Too expensive. Look for a competitor
I bought this unit for $600 exactly one year ago from the same supplier. Now they want over $800. There are less expensive competitors out there. Spend some time looking and save yourself some cash! These salt cells deteriorate really quickly when you do not religiously watch your pool chemistry. This is the dirty little secret of salt water pools that no one tells you when you buy the system. Many of us cannot afford a weekly pool service and do it ourselves. Human nature being what it is, many (including me) don't watch pool water chemistry as closely as we ought to. This will cost you since these units are VERY expensive to replace, no matter the brand. But Jandy/Zodiac is especially expensive. One more thing. In case you haven't seen it in another review, you may be replacing you old unit with three DC wires with this one which as two. Shame on Jandy/Zodiac for not including a wiring schematic in their packaging to help us out. Tip: The old unit may have black, white and green wires. This unit has blue and red. Believe it or not, red is negative to be plugged into the circuit board where your current green wire connects. Black and white are positive and blue is connected there.

Exactly what I needed
This cell was going upward of $1,200 in some retailers. Good value from this seller. Supper easy install.

The real thing.
This turns cloudy water into crystal-clear water in a snap. One, two three, to install too. Get to keep your saltwater pool super clear.
