Money well spent. Exactly what I need it

An OBD II extender is a great idea. It will prevent wear and tear on your OEM prime OBD II connector. I tried this product on a 2000 and 2006 Honda Civic. The fit and electrical continuity was substandard. The extender repeatedly lost communication with my ScanGage II. The extender did not have a good purchase on the vehicle(s) prime OBD II connector. I noticed that even with this shorter mini extender, there is a cantilever effect. I'm sure this effect is amplified when using a standard, longer extender. It is also harder to remove whatever you are attaching to the extender (i.e. dongle, ScanGauge II or code reader cable). I will be returning this item.

I bought this to protect my car's OBD2 connector. The problem is that it SO tightly connects to my OBD2 dongle that this comes out of the car's connector, not the OBD2 dongle. I wanted to easily remove the OBD2 dongle from this and leave this in the car.

I didn't use it at all. When I plug it to the OBD II have to force it in because it doesn't fit properly.
