SUZUKIHarmonica (SNB-20)

I love this harmonica. I stopped playing because my spouse didn't appreciate my playing. I found the Shinobix online by accident and it is great. I can play as bad as I want now without bothering anyone . It's not silent, but it does decrease the volume quite a bit.The one thing I find is that the backpressure is quite a bit higher than my other harmonicas, which makes sense, it's a muffler. Back pressure is a small price to pay. I wish I had found one of these years ago.

I am very happy with the Suzuki Harmonica Silencer SNB-20…and have ordered another. I tried another harmonica silencer device, but it partially covered the metal cover plates of the harp, thus obstructing playing...so did not work well. This Suzuki device has plastic cover plates that...although a little thicker than normal, do NOT obstruct playing the harmonica. Definitely a good design, in my opinion.FYI…since this information is not even on the Suzuki website, here are Suzuki harps that work with the SNB-20.A. COMPATIBLE SUZUKI HARMONICA LIST (from SNB-20 box): MR-350; MR-350G; HA-20; MR-550; M-20; C-20; F-20; PH-20NB. SUZUKI "OLIVE" C-20 Type harmonica in Key of C (without the cover plates) is the harmonica included with the SNB-20.

Suzuki built tolerances seem to be poor, as I found that the unit failed to fit the Suzuki harmonica it states it will fit.If you want to take a chance buying this device I strongly suggest buying it with the harmonica already fitted. As my one I purchased will be going in the bin as I will not keep buying Suzuki harmonicas with the hope one might fit.

I am a man with autism.Playing harmonica isn't just a way to entertain myself, it's my method of regulating my breathing and subsequently my ability to self regulate in my space without having to overstimulate myself auditorily.Having this more silent option has afforded me the opportunity to live with more dignity and autonomy in my home.5 stars is a couple of galaxies short of the review I want to leave for this wonderful product.

他人に迷惑をかけない程度の音量です。これって、どこでも練習できるってことで、必需品なんじゃないでしょうか。

素人の感想です。吹き口の位置感覚が通常のハーモニカと異なります。同じように口をあてたら単音が出ませんでした。少し吹いていると正確な位置がつかめるようになります。低音は出しづらいですし、低音以外も吹くのに力が要ります。音が小さくなるメリットを享受するためにはしかたのないことと割り切っています。また、しっかり呼吸しないと音が出づらいので、呼吸を強くするトレーニングになるというメリットがあります。

ほそぼそと練習を続けていたハーモニカ。小さいクセに鳴らすと結構音がデカい。うるさい、迷惑、ヘタクソ。確かに自分でもそう思う。練習するのも遠慮がちに、弱く吸ったり吐いたりすることになる。そんなときに見つけたのがコレ。MANJIはすでに持っていたのでこのセットを購入した。付け替えるのは簡単。さっそく鳴らしてみる。うむ。音は小さいけれど、プラスティック臭のする空気を吸ったり吐いたりしなければならない。１週間ほど我慢してプラスティック臭とお付き合いをしていたが、次第に気にならなくなる。今は、部屋の中で練習しているが、多分迷惑にはなっていないと思う。思い切り強く息を吸ったり吐いたりしてもうるさくない。家族が「ハーモニカがうるさい」と言ってこなくなったので。

音は少ないですが、強く吹かないといけません。臭いが少し気になります。値段を考えるとマンジを購入してタオルで抑えた方が良いかもしれません。
