SImple device, well made, installed easily!
I bought two, one came in a nice brown box with nice instruction set. Having watched YouTubes on installing it, simple. Took longer to get the drive secure screw back in than to get the card in the heat sink... Looks good in the otherwise dark black ASUS TUF X570-Plu WiFi motherboard. I ended up using only one, the other NVME drive has a rudimentary one that came with the motherboard already installed, saw no reason to replace it. Will use the second one on the other computer.

Works with PS5, but...
First thing first, if you pay for quicker shipping to get it a day earlier while your off from work and it ends up being delivered late... on the day it would have been delivered if I had used free shipping... the added cost should be refunded no questions asked. Come one Amazon, step it up! Now, as for the product itself, it was paired with a 2TB ADATA XPG Gammix S70 Blade. Anyone getting one of those knows it comes with a crappy little piece of metal that's supposed to be a heatsink for a double sided M2 drive. Not sure whose idea THAT was. Something similar to what the SN850 has would have been a smarter design choice. Well, that's where this little sucker comes in, to replace that nonsense. As far as instillation goes, the included pads aren't the best. A few hairs too thin and not quite spongey enough. I'll be getting some Thermal Grizzly pads to replace them later. Had to add one of the squares on top of the controller and the other non-NAND chip on the topside to provided enough contact since they sit slightly lower than the NAND chips. Used the thinner pink strip on the back since it's just NAND chips and not an issue if they get a little warm. How it fits in the PS5's M2 bay is where my main gripe is. The width is fine, it's the height. With dual sided M2 drives, the extra width from the NAND on the underside adds just enough height to block the 2 air channels for the negative pressure ventilation, and puts the heatsinks fins right against the underside of the bay's cover. Any ventilation that may be there despite the air channels being blocked would do little good with the fins that close. I opted to leave the M2 cover off, and haven't noticed any ventilation issues or slowdowns from it getting too hot. Single sided M2 drives should be fine, however.

Highly Impressed! 12*C Drop.
I have two Samsung 980 Pros. One 1T, which has my Windows, Ubuntu and a data partition. The temp on this drive was 44*C prior and now it's down to 32*C. My second 980 Pro is a 2T, which was running at 43*C and now its down to 41*C. This is not partitioned and used for my photos by Lightroom and Photoshop. These two drives' temps have been reduced dramatically by these heatsinks! I'm impressed. I was expecting maybe about a 5*C drop. I'm hooked on these. I'll be getting another for my planned 990 Pro. Impressed!

Works as expected!
My fiancé was able to install this heat sink with M2 1 TB Samsung 980 pro ssd. Do not follow the instructions with the piece of paper that comes with the heat sink. My fiancé used the instructions on the video that is attached to this product on Amazon and the video shows the correct instructions on how to install . The heat sink works perfectly and has kept my M2 SSD drive nice and cool. Definitely would recommend! 5 stars

Perfect for PS5!
Easy to install! I used a Firecuda 530 which is one of the fattest two-sided popular bare drives so I used the red thermal pad on the back of the SSD since it was uniform flatness anyway and just has nand on it (nand likes to be warm) and the blue thicker pad on top. Pinched it together while I screwed the side screws in (it comes with a couple extra since you always drop one) and it fit snug but perfect in ps5 and cover went back on just fine! On pc this drive doesn't get over 45c which is awesome. Anything under 50c is perfect longterm, anything under 55c you shouldn't have any throttling

Small box included pads, screws and metal heat sink case as indicated. No instruction manual. Thermal Pads content, small square ones and one long and another copper based thin one. Got the job done in 5 min tops. Fits ps5's extension storage bay. And fits with a name m.2 firecuda 530 1 tb.
