I purchased this set of rivets because of the variety of color rivets, the size of the rivets, 6x6 mm, in this set and the amount of rivets, 400, that came with this package deal, which is good for the price. When I open the packaging, I found the piece you pound the rivets on was rusty around the edges and the piece that you hit with the hammer was plastic. I was disappointed but in all fairness, I had to try hitting the plastic piece you hit with the hammer before I could give a fair review. It held up well without affecting it after 56 hits with the hammer. There was no scratches or bending of the plastic piece. That piece is made with a type of hard plastic that may last for a long time. The round piece that you pound the rivets on has rust but it is still functional hence my rating of 5 stars. Would I buy this set again? I would because 400 rivets would last me for awhile for the crafts I make.

I have purchased these time and time again. These rivets are my GO TO!. AND at a very affordable price.

Easy to use

These were just okay. If you have a small job, or are just getting into using rivets these did the job. The setter is not at all accurate and would sometimes collapse the double cap because it didn't hold it in an exact spot. I would even dent the caps but just pushing on them. I am using them on fabric and the hole punch was useless, never tried it on leather. Once I realized that these were the size I wanted and that I like the look of them, I took the plunge and bought a nice rivet setter specific to the size and double cap rivets from The Buckle Guy and they were a world apart in quality, both the setter and the rivets themself. So if you want just a quick / cheap fix, give these a go. If you are doing more than just a quick project, I would suggest looking elsewhere. I'm new to rivets and sort of thought they were just all the same. Nope they are not. Best of luck with your projects!
