Papo Rhino Man

The figure is wonderfully detailed and realistic. I've never seen a mutant warrior rhinoceros but I have seen White Rhinos in zoos and this guy looks just like one (albeit with armor and weapons). I'm a 65-year-old child when it comes to figurines, a lifelong lover of animals, and a huge sci-fi/fantasy fan and so when I went searching for new animal figures for my 3-year-old grandson and saw this among the Papo offerings, I had to have it. I'm delighted to say my grandson has inherited my love of animals and realistic figures (apparently it skipped a generation with his dad), but I thought that he might be too young for this line of fantasy animals. I introduced him to it with the Mutant Gorilla Warrior figure and it's become one of his favorites. He just lately has gotten into Rhinos and Hippos and so this was a natural. I bought this one as a Christmas present so I hope he doesn't move on to another creature by then and I can't report on his reaction, but I'm confident it will be positive. I like it so much I'm buying one for myself! Both the battle-ax and the sword are removable and the sword fits in the Rhino's right hand. the battle-ax's handle will fit in his harness, but it's so long it's not something you or your child will want to do. None of the armor is removable or moveable which was not unexpected, but I thought it worth noting here because it seems other customers have some unrealistic expectations, in general, of these figures. The figure is made of a hard and durable plastic that I'm sure will last a very long time of heavy play, but it will not bend. The limbs are not articulated and the stance the croc comes with is the only one you or your child will ever see. Again, this is perfectly fine by me, but these reviews are meant to be helpful and I've seen that some people are disappointed when they buy a Papo figure and they can't pose it in different positions. The weapons are flexible and they seem sturdy, but they've not been tested by me. They are relatively small and can easily be lost though. I would not give them to a child younger than my grandson. He might lose them but he's not going try and eat them and risk choking. The Rhino is the highest priced figure in the line, but along with the Croc is the largest (Why the Croc is only about a third of the price of the Rhino is a mystery) and along with the Gorilla, is the most realistic, and so in my opinion, it's quality creates value in excess of its cost. If you or the child in your life are anything like me and my grandson, I feel certain that you will not be disappointed.

I get a different Rhino-themed Christmas gift for my former boss each year, & this seemed quite different than most. It just arrived (after ordering only the day prior, wow !) & I’m very pleased with it. It stands upright with no issue, the paint job is excellent, & it exudes toughness. I can’t wait to give this at Christmas, it’s just so unique & I would think a perfect addition to any Rhino fan’s collection.

Nicely detailed and painted soft rigid plastic figure from Papo. This is the rhino mutant warrior. The other five are tiger, gorilla, dragon, crocodile, and lion.

The most highly detailed plastic figures in this size I've seen anywhere. My son loves these things and has come to look forward to new ones every X-mas. Great for young fans of the medieval/fantasy genres. Nice enough to put on display, but durable enough to stand up to moderate play.

Papo is well known for the detail they put into their figures and the rhino man is no exception. even for the size of the figure-3 inches the detail is amazing. if you are looking for articulation look eleswhere as this figure has none. definitely for older collectors.

Bought all of these as a set: Gorilla Mutant , Tiger Man , Mutant Dragon , Rhino Man , Papo Lion Man , Papo Ram Man , Crocodile Man I have to say Papo makes exceptional toys. The detail on these are amazing. The weapons are removable, which could provide a hazard to really young kids. These make a great collection for older *kids* like me as well. Definitely works of art.

Just like it appears in the picture. This guy is pretty fun and makes me chuckle when I see him. Well built and has already survived a few falls from my cat attacking him. Not super well balanced, though, so you need a truly flat surface.

I bought 6 of these mutant guys and all of my boys loved them. This one was their favorite, by far! He looks just like the picture. They are small, though, so be sure you look at the size before you buy it to make sure it's what you're expecting. Delivery was just right.

Top verarbeitet. Sieht richtig nice aus. Besonders die Details. Steht Schleich oder Bullyland in nichts nach. Hätte ich als Kind auch gerne gehabt ^^

La figura no es de gran tamaño pero es muy original, con un diseño muy currado y hecha con un material duro y resistente. Buen acabado de pintura. Además incorpora 2 armas. La marca francesa Papo hace maravillas. Ideal para coleccionistas.

Possiedo diversi figurini Papo, sia cavalieri che mutanti e il rinoceronte credo sia uno dei più belli. come mostra bene la foto, il figurino è realizzato con un realismo impressionante, testa, zampe... colore superlativo. ginocchia e gomiti leggermente piegati conferiscono al rino una posa nel complesso morbida come tutti i mutanti, anche questo è caratterizzato da una mole leggermente più possente rispetto a quella dei cavalieri. ottimamente piantato, regge in piedi senza alcun problema. stupendo.
