Philips Sonicare 7900 Series Electric Toothbrush, Sonic Toothbrush - Outdated Product

To clear up the title of this review: This toothbrush is great and I would definitely recommend it. Although I am not sure I could justify its full RRP. This toothbrush tends to go on 'sale' sub £100 for which it is worth every penny. After using manual toothbrushes for my whole life I took the chance to try a 'proper' electric toothbrush in 2021. WOW. What a difference. Straight out the box I noticed a difference and was really impressed with the results. To add to this the toothbrush feels well made. The included transport case, charger base and replacement heads were all welcome additions. Initially I used the app every day which gave insights and tips to brushing all whilst tracking your brushing habits. The different modes and intensities really allow this brush to work for anyone. The biggest game changer was the built in timer function. Yes timers are a readily available thing but to have it built in to the brush itself really allows you to get on with brushing for the right amount of time everytime. Unfortunately after travelling one time the head of the unit seemed to become loose from the body of the brush. I can only think something impacted it somehow. Which meant the brush wouldn't work as it should. I immediately went to reorder and as mentioned above the price had risen dramatically. Thankfully a prime day was round the corner and lo and behold it went back on sale. I purchased the exact same model again and still use it twice a day everyday.

Travel-Friendly: The included charging travel case is so convenient, making it easy to take the toothbrush on the go. It’s compact, protective, and keeps the brush charged while traveling. Overall, the Philips Sonicare 7900 Series has completely elevated my brushing routine. If you’re looking for an electric toothbrush that’s effective, customizable, and packed with features, I highly recommend this one. It’s totally worth the investment!

I was so disappointed that the brush mount on my sonicare started to wobble and make a really awful noise! And only after 15 months… now there’s no seller warranty (only one year) and I stupidly didn’t register it with Philips and now find out they give a two year warranty! Also reading the reviews here I see that this fault is a very common problem! For a reasonably expensive toothbrush you would expect a lot better quality. Edit: I got in touch with Philips customer service and they were great! New toothbrush body in the post for me!! 🙏

These are really good brushes at cleaning, especially this one (I've had three of the more ordinary ones too). I'd give it five stars, but unfortunately they only last me two to three years before the joint at the top holding the brush breaks and then the brush head vibrates terribly and most likely isn't so effective. You just have to be extra careful taking the heads off and putting them back on. Do it as little as you can. Given the heads tell you when to change you can't avoid every so often (or when using the very handy travel case). I've just ordered a replacement with one that was on special offer. I'd probably change, but have six brush heads left (and they are not cheap). Overall they are pricey and a bit brittle, but very good teeth and gum cleaners.

Very unreliable. Got it replaced under warranty and that also stopped working. Would recommend not to buy even though the quality is good, it won't last very long.

Don t buy the motor that create vibration seems to be off very poor quality. i m cleaning my teeth in. a very gentle way but nonetheless the tootbrush is not rotation any more…

I’m a regular user of Sonicare, but this specific unit came with a 6*20 sec brushing cycle (instead of the 4*30)!!! Couldn’t find any solution despite a reset…
