I really like this scale. It's smart looking, easy to read, and very accurate. I am replacing another scale that I have not had for very long but it bothered me to no avail that the other scale had this "digital memory" that would record and "remember" your weight and just repeat it back to you, so as to appear like it was completely accurate, but it's really not because you can take off your clothes or drink 8 ounces of water and it will just spit back the same reading. So if you want a scale that's truly accurate this one is perfect. I tested it by holding a half full bottle of lotion and it gave me an accurate reading of just several ounces more. That's what I want to see! The truth! Especially if you need to know for any medical reasons. I also like how it's thin and light weight. My other scale is also glass but thicker and bulky, and really hurts to trip on. Lol.

I purchased this in March, and I was very happy with it. I thought it did a very accurate job of giving me my weight, it looked great, and was easy to use. So, it’s definitely gets stars for that. I did a lot of research before settling on this scale, and I was happy with the results. However, in September, the thing spontaneously combusted, shattering into a million pieces for no reason whatsoever. I’m just glad I wasn’t standing on it when it happened. I was in the next room, so I heard the loud cracking noise, and was surprise to see it in pieces. I have no idea what happened. No one was in the room. We always took great care of it, and made sure our pets could never touch it. Really loved this product up until this point. I was seriously considering giving it another try, but I’d prefer for it not to “explode” in 6 months again. UPDATE: After this review, they contacted me to help me out, and were very nice about the whole thing. They hadn't heard of this happening before, so it might have been a fluke. They offered me a refund or replacement unit right away (so they get stars back for awesome customer service!), and I opted for the refund. However, I decided to give it another shot and repurchased it soon after, and will update this review again if all goes well.

So far I have zero problems with this scale. It is very elegant and well made and I cannot find anything truly wrong with it. Weight could be a pound or so off from I guess what you might call a perfect scale but that doesn't bother me much. This is a consistent scale. I can get on and off the scale and it does not register different weights like the claims of some reviewers here. At least for me. The blue LED is perfect. The scale requires no tapping and is a no-nonsense type of scale with a beautiful glass finish. It's decently heavy but thin and has some padded feet for hard surfaces. You can switch pounds out for kilograms if you need. I can't give it less than 5 stars because so far it has done nothing wrong. I'll update with battery life at some point.

I bought this for my Mother, who lives 3000 miles away. As instructed by her doctor, she weighs herself every morning on the same old scale she has had for years. But she is older now and uses both a walker and oxygen. She was having a difficult time maneuvering the walker & oxygen line to step up onto the 3-4" tall scale, which barely provided enough room for her feet. She then lets go of everything while her husband gets down on his knees to read the dial quickly before she has to grab something to maintain her balance. She fell off more than once when the old scale tipped as she stepped off. The extra wide platform on this Health Source scale together with the feet being larger and positioned nearer to the edges than on any other scale I found make it much easier for her to step up the less than 1" distance from the floor while maintaining her balance. These features also make it nearly impossible for it to tip as she steps off. The large digital readout made it easy to read from a standing position. However she said she might have to return it because it weighed her 5 lbs. heavier than her old one. I told her there was probably a way to check its calibration and she said that wouldn't be necessary. "The one in my doctor's office does that, too." :) Ha! This is a great scale! Thank you!

Got my scale a few days ago, and so far so good! Out of the box I set it to LBS rather than KG, and it weighed correctly. Looks great, easy to read without my glasses on, and large enough for my size 12 feet. Time will tell and I'll update my rating in the future. I hope for another success story for an Amazon purchase!! This scale works great and seems to be very accurate. I normally weigh myself 3-times just to check for discrepancies and so far no issues at all! My old scale would vary quite a bit so the Vive scale has resolved that issue. I take my weight readings very seriously as I’ve been on a diet since September 2014 and lost 35lbs, tracking my progress and writing it down daily keeps me honest with myself. If you are looking for a scale I ”highly recommend this one”! It is stylish with large bright numbers, has a very good size platform, and most of all accurate.

Looks great, but the scale doesn’t seem 100% accurate. If I weigh myself several times in a row the weight displayed varies by up to .5 lbs.
