Very Easy to Install
Straps were very easy to install. Use a pair of needle nose pliers if you don't have the proper tool, or use an old screw driver and cut a slit in the tip.The strips can be tightened down and held in place very easy and holds really well. Doesn't cut into the wrapping or fingers

Amazing product already on my second bag
There is a trick to getting these super tight without the official tool. But once you figure that trick out these are amazing. I am already on my second bag and I know two other people who have bought them because of my original order. I am a lifetime subscriber to these. How to get them tight.1. Place around what you want to cinch just like a normal nylon tie2. Pull tight by hand3. Using a pair of needle nose pliers push on the tab holding the tiny ball bearing in the clasp backwards (to apply enough force you probably need to hold onto the excess strap with your other hand).4. Cut the excess leaving about 1.5 inches left5. Grab the end of the excess with the pliers and roll up the excess until the desired tension is achieved

Great product ... just misunderstood.
I can't believe all the people giving this item bad reviews for not understanding the product. I've included some pictures to help with my explanation. First, this item is intended to be used with this ... Eclipse 902-321 Stainless Steel Cable Tie Tool, or an equivalent. Personally I didn't want to spend that much or more, so I found an alternative online.I found a long pair of needle nose pliers worked to secure my heat wrap on my exhaust.Cut excess to around 1", grab the very end and twist it under to tighten. This may take a few attempts to get it right, it worked adequately for me.Hope this helps. It's unfortunate this product is getting poor reviews by people not understanding how it works.

Beware of the sharp edges...
Worked well for my application. Couple things to keep in mind:- The edges are as sharp as razor blades. Wear adequate hand protection. I had some deep cuts before I smartened up.- You can get these ties tight but they are not zip ties.- It is very easy to damage/distort the ball bearing housing while tightening. If that happens, the tie won't tighten and you have to start over with a new one.- Amazon sells a tensioning tool for these ties. I purchased it and save your money. To tighten, I used a pair of wire clippers and a flat head screwdriver. Manually tighten the tie until you can't tighten any more. Clamp the wire clippers on the extra length of tie near the ball bearing housing. Take your flat head, rest against the wire clippers, and gently push the ball bearing housing further up the tie. Snipe off the excess tie.- It has been over a month and none of the ties have loosened.

These ties are squirrel proof.
I used these ties to replace the aluminum ties on my chain link fence. The squirrels in my neighborhood have been using my aluminum ties to sharpen their teeth. More than 100 alumni ties had been chewed through. And my chain link fence was starting to fall away from the poles. Not any more. The squirrels do not chew through these ties.

They work great
The ties are a good value. You have a hundred tie package, so you can practice on a few. All you need is a needle nose pliers and a good pair of side cutters. Don't bother with the tool that some offer, you can't get them tight enough.

im glad i got the big bag
The steel band portion of the tie is tough! but the locks are not. im glad i got the big bag, 2 in 10 ties wouldn't hold. I'm not a fan of the ball and spring design for the locks, would be nice if it were a paw and lock design so it was physically held in place not relying on friction. But it was like 10 bucks for a big bag and it got the job done.
