The rain in effect will dilute the repellent unfortunately. Other options would be love rat/rodent traps or poison in a small black box, (safeguard other animals).

How long does the scent stay active for? Before you have to re coat?

I won't waste your money on this product. I bought it with the hope of stopping the rats coming into my garden it didn't . So I had to buy bait boxes with rat posion I didn't like doing it but I don't have rats visiting my garden anymore.

How long do you have to keep using it before it becomes effective

Being used with Rat boxes and bait checking every 3days been told that if bait is eaten it will take 6/8 days
