It's (currently) a listing for 15 different bars. It's probably both 10 kg, 8.5 kg, and many others (the Olympic ones mostly have it right in their names). You'll have to be more specific.

Q: Can someone please tell me what parts of the bar the knurling (grip) is on the 4ft super EZ bar, as its not clear in the product description.

Having had a close up look at the pictures, it seems the 'knurled' regions are either side of, and including the hand grips. This is a specialised piece of kit, with very specific aims for 'close grip' work for the arms and shoulders.

Q: Is the grip smooth or rough and sharp?

It is rough enough to have a good grip; but it isn’t overly rough and hard. I use fat gripz with my routine to add great challenge.
