Works well as the sides allow you to straighten them to raise the internal area for the flap of the fan to raise fully for the most air flow. Lots of other ones doesn’t have the same height on the bottom and the flap opens only 30-45 degrees which affects the air flow as well as making a lots of noise like a whistling because the air has to go through a smaller opening. None of those issues happen with this one.

I have searched at the big box stores and they had nothing close, they asked me what happened to the one that was originally installed.. why? My kitchen was remodeled right before I purchased the house and the adapter was gone. So I found this here and it was a very close fit. Not exact but some metal duct tape and no air leaks. Bottom line if you need to vent your microwave up through a duct, this is what you need.

I use this in order to help gather more hot air to send through my duct system from my wood stove to transport the hot air to other rooms in the home works amazing This is made my wood stove far more efficient.

I was surprised when this item showed up on my doorstep in a plastic bag. I was not surprised that it was kind of crushed and mishapened. It took me about a half hour to round out the four inch hound side and square up the rectangle end. Good thing I don't buy eggs on Amazon.

This product was excellent. I am doing a kitchen renovation where there was no ductwork at all for an exterior vent so and it was impossible to do one thru the roof line. I ended up using this to create my own duct run outside using a shared interior wall to then run the ductwork outside. This vent was able to securely fit over the vent outlets on the back of the microwave and i drilled two holes to use mounting screws to secure it to the back of the microwave. All in all it was cheaper to buy this an the duct run than buying a complete kit.

Probably looks good and was made well, returned it because I did not need it.

Big box stores didn't even carry this size. Micros should come with these installed already. This worked perfect

The portal works fine but the exhaust door gets stuck in the open position.
