Has all the features you want in a 3d printer, has been a workhorse since put together
This 3d Printer is excellent. I will be buying more of these in the near future.I don't know about beginners, as I've been 3d printing for a few years now. So the mechanics are not new to me. There are plenty of how to videos available on this printer, so if you are smart, you can put this together and start printing in a short time.Installation was straight forward, there are youtube videos, and comes with good directions. All parts bags are numbered. It took less than 1 hour to put together.Out of the box, the machine was put together, and levelled. I ran bed levelling about 6 times. I printed the two test prints, and the quality was excellent. From having an Ender3, I did change the magnetic plate to an anodized plate, because I prefer those. I use glue stick on my prints, as I dont want to risk them coming loose. I have printed on this system every day for three weeks, with zero failures. This system is like an Ender 3, if you were to add a few hundred dollars worth of upgrades to an Ender. It is quiet, except for the motherboard fan, which there is a "fan silencer" that you can print from thingiverse.I have printed in PLA and PLA + with zero issues, none of my prints have failed thus far. The system printed for the last 3 weeks with no power cycles. I've printed items that take 44 hours, and the prints were perfect.TIP: I use Simplfy3d for my slicer, and I simply modified an Ender 3 profile for my print jobs. The only mod I had to make was to increase the print height. The only con I have, is a pretty simple one. The BL touch is not simply plug and play, you have to flash the firmware 1st. The video for installation made it look as if it was plug n play, it is not, on my machine.I will flash the printer, and re-install the BL Touch I purchased seperately, but not in a hurry to do so, it levels rather easily, and prints perfectly.

GREAT beginner 3D printer!
This was my first 3D printer purchase and it has not let me down. I have had a few prints not work (due to user error) and then a few that did as I started to learn the machine. I enjoyed putting it together and love 'tinkering' with things so this is right up my alley. Just like any project, people should not expect the initial print to be ready to be photographed in a West Elm magazine, rather expect to finish it just like you would with, say, a wood project. This was a hobby purchase for me and patience is key when learning any new machine.I have friends who have the Ender 3 V2 and this is compares very well, if not better. The components on this machine are already upgraded to surpass the Ender 3 V2 which makes it a cheaper entry point in the end. The touch screen is responsive and very clear and the manual spells out the functions well. I have nothing to compare the noise level to but it does seem comparable to similar machines. I did have to reach out to customer service once to ask about a specific piece of the build, they were responsive, and even worked with me on sending a back up part.Overall, I would recommend this printer to anyone looking to get into the hobby.

BIQU B1 packs lots of features into an inexpensive package, but know what you're getting
The BIQU B1 printer has a ton of great features going for it, and considering the price, you get a lot for your money. Though the printer is based on the Creality Ender 3 series' design, a nice benefit is that Bigtreetech owns BIQU (or the other way around?), which is the company that makes some of the most popular Ender upgrades (e.g. SKR series controller boards). So you're getting many Ender upgrades built-in to the B1. It also comes with other "upgrades" built-in, e.g. innovative cable management, filament end detector, etc. What I don't love is that while many of the upgrades are enhancements to the Ender 3, the lack of a large community based around this printer makes it difficult to find tips and tricks from others. For example, the hotend is different than the Ender 3, including slightly different nozzles (B1's UM2 vs Ender 3's MK8, IIRC). Is this a deal breaker? No, not if you know a little about what you're doing, but it could be confusing for a beginner.Overall, I feel that the printer would benefit greatly if they would just do a better job with documentation, keeping up a community forum, and put a ton of these printers into the hands of somewhat experienced 3D printer enthusiasts who might be able to create new videos, post new how-to articles, and generally make this a printer that shared popularity with the Creality Ender 3 printers.BTW - a TON of bonus points for including extra screws and pieces! So much more effective than trying to reach out to an overseas company to replace a screw because it was accidentally left out!

It's a solid printer that's quiet and user-friendly
I already had an Ender 3 and a Craftbot Plus when I bought the Biqu B1. After a couple months of printing at least 50g of PLA per day on it, I have to say it's a trooper. I keep it around 60mm/s and I rarely have a failed print caused by the machine (pobody's nerfect). The touchscreen makes the interface so much easier, the print quality is phenomenal for the price point, and I haven't had a single clog yet (I also don't try to see if I can get the guide wheels to smoke). I've done a bit of PETG on it, but I don't really do nylons and infused filaments so I can't speak to its tolerances there.I haven't really done any upgrades to it besides using RPi with Octoprint and it runs like a dream. It's basically my Ender 3 with all the upgrades I was going to get from the same company. It was between throwing more money at my Ender 3 or getting this. It's also a lot quieter than both of my other machines.I love all my printers. The Biqu B1 isn't perfect for everybody, but if you want a solid machine ...and understand the logic behind maintenance, I'd definitely recommend this one.The price was why I took a chance on it and I couldn't be happier.THERE IS A CONI still haven't been able to find any 0.2mm, 0.3mm, 0.6mm, 0.8mm, etc. nozzles for it so I'm confined to 0.4mm.

Very impressive.
I am really impressed with this printer. It was easy to assemble and configure. And it has printed beautifully from the start. The fans are a bit noisy but not any more than any other printer I have.

An upgraded Ender 3 v2 from the factory
Biqu B1 is made by Big Tree Tech which is a leading manufacturer of high end 3D printer motherboards and motor drivers amongst other things. So they basically took a Ender 3 v2, upgraded the motherboard, stepper motor drivers, added dual rail Y axis, dual part cooling fans, metal extruder, magnetic flex steel bed, a USB-C connected hotend and a touch screen UI for operation. It is also plug and play ready for BL Touch sensor, just install the sensor and plug in its cable at the back of the printer, no need to disassemble to reach the main board. There is some assembly required which can be bit difficult if you're a layman. If assembled correctly, the printer should not have any wobble or vibrations in the gantry or the bed.The printer is supper quite but the PSU fan is obnoxiously loud. Like it is the source of 90% of the noise coming from the printer.

Great 3D printer
Excellent 3d printer for a newbie like me. Easy to assemble, friendly menu, lots of features, multiple upgrade possibility. Great quality 3d printer. Very happy. I had no need to call for tech support.

Extremely high maintenace
Needs maintenance every single week, prone to errors like motherboard hanging, USB ports breaking, prints stopping in between and touchscreen freezing. Isn't exceptionally fast either, belts begin to slip at 800mm/s^2 of acceleration. Overall would recommend new hobbyists to invest in something higher quality, or at least more mainstream like an Ender 3 V2.
