Stinky fishy.
My poodles and Chihuahas and my cats love these fish This batch is nice and plump and I can see the oils inside the fish when I break them in half for the cats. Dogs eat them whole. Excellent source of omega 3 and protein. Of course they are stinky. But dogs love stinky stuff.

Great treat option
Got these as a healthy treat for the dog. He loved them! They're dried fish, so don't be surprised when they smell like dried fish, because they do lol. They have a great crunch to them, but they're not too hard for the dog to bite through and chew, and the bag reseals. The only grievance I had about this product was that it came damaged (a box cutter had clearly sliced through it). I did reach out and I was compensated for the damage, so that's why I'm not docking stars for it. The amount of fish you get for the price is honestly a good value for an occasional treat option, and it adds some good variety and nutrients. The pup in question has a lot of food allergies, so this single-ingredient treat is a great option for him. :)

Great nutritious treat
Lets start with ITS FISH SO ITS GOING TO SMELL LIKE FISH! That being said they were not broken. My service dog was a little bit confused but now she is a huge fan. Our other dog snatched it up and wanted more. They are breakable so you can use them for training. They are a perfect size for my dogs and their friends who weigh from 45lbs to 80 lbs.( btw my grandsons think their cool lol)

excellent treat for your furry friend!
i’ve read all the negative reviews. i guess every dog is different. my pomeranian loves dried herring. do they smell? yeah… they smell like fish. what should they smell like? it’s a great product, as are all icelandic offerings. but don’t listen to me. keep feeding your fur baby milk bones. 😏

Our pet enjoys them - BEWARE strong odor.
Our Havanese enjoys them as meal toppers. They are very tough and take a sturdy pair of kitchen shears to cut up for soaking in hot water before serving with the meal. The pulp also enjoys straight out of the package but being small, takes a while for it to be devoured. VERY strong odor so be aware when opening the packing and serving or playing with your pet shortly after eating one.

Smelly; Dogs Love Them
My thinking is that these fish smell so bad, they caught them, left them on the boat dock to dry, then packaged them to sell as dog treats. Seriously, I’m not too far off on this theory 😀. I hate to handle the fish because my hands smell so bad. So of course, dogs love them. They are very small fish, maybe 2 or 3 inches long. Research says the Omega 3 is very good for a dogs diet. So, with all that said, I’m giving these herring fish 5 stars. Be warned though about the smell 😂
