Chunky, sticky and Orange.
This is the 4th set of Oury grips I have purchased. Riding with, or without gloves is fine, as the grips are chunky enough to provide a nice soft grip. Some people find them a bit on the large size, but the vibration dampening these grips provide make up for the girth. Getting them on the handlebars proves to be a bit tricky, some people recommend hairspray as a lubricant that sets as a decent adhesive once dried, although removing the grips would probably be impossible afterwards. A small blast of air from a compressor will get them on and off without too much trouble. If you're constantly updating components on your bike, the lock on version might be a better option, but those don't provide as much cushion as the slip-ons. The only negative is that these grips get pretty sticky, so they attract a lot of dirt and grime. They do wash up nicely, though.

Preferred grip.
Prefer over lock on grips; more cushion and slightly shorter, allows more adjustment of shifters and brakes, keeping hands at edge of bars.

A True Classic
What can I say? Ourys are simple and great—and always have been. You really need an air compressor to install, so keep that in mind.

Comfy and grippy, bright colors stain easily.
Got these to match my orange Ortlieb bags. They were a quick install using rubbing alcohol and feel great while riding. Unfortunately, they stain easily from bike grease and are kind of a pain to clean (I used more rubbing alcohol). I would probably get black or a darker color next time to mask staining.

The only grips worth a damn
Whatever you've got for grips, if they're not Oury then you can do better. I had a set on my MTB for over a decade until they got too nasty to use anymore. Looking forward to another 10 years of sterling service.
