The media could not be loaded.  My wife's mom is having trouble in seeing well and dialing a phone. We got her this phone to use because of several features that it has that we liked.1. It is a white color phone with very large buttons with black raised numbers on them that are easy to see. The buttons are also labeled in Braille.2. You can program 13 speed dial numbers into the phone. One for each number 0 through 9 and three more for one touch push buttons for fire, medical or police. If you don't want to use the three emergency buttons you can use them to program in any three phone numbers that you would like to dial. There is a slide out card on the side of the phone so you can write down the 10 phone numbers that correspond to the ones you have programmed into the memory for the 10 number keys.3. The phone has a speaker button so you can answer the phone by simply touching the speaker button or make a hands free phone call and that is important to my wife’s mom. The speaker is loud and clear and it has a volume adjustment for the speaker that is on the side of the phone.4. There is also a handset volume adjustment on the side of the phone.5. There is a ringer volume adjustment on the side of the phone.6. You can set the phone to work on a tone or rotary pulse system.7. There is a red light on the top of the phone that flashes when the phone is ringing.8. The phone has a flash, memory, hold and a pause/redial button on it.The phone has a battery compartment on the back of it that holds two AA batteries but the instruction manual does not explain the function of the batteries at all. That is my only complaint with this phone is that the user manual could be better. The phone does not come with an AC wall power adapter as some people state and there is not even a place to plug one into the phone. It is not required as the phone gets its power from the land line phone system that you are attaching it to. I can only assume that the batteries are to store the programmed phone numbers in the phone if the phone lines lose power.In my video I go over setting up the phone, what comes in the box and how to program the phone. The phone works very well and my mother-in-law loves it. It can be mounted on a wall or as a table top phone and it comes with two phone cords. You can even set up the hand set area to hold the phone in the cradle when you use the phone as a wall phone. I hope my video is helpful for you and it shows a lot of the phone’s features. We like this phone and rated it at 5 stars.

This telephone came properly packaged. I was very excited to get it on the wall in my kitchen. I was very disappointed after following all the directions, it's on the wall in my kitchen fits perfectly, but alas, the handset will not work. The speaker button works loud and clear but the handset, no sound whatsoever. I called the number on the "limited Warranty" sheet that came with the phone and that number was no longer valid. I called Amazon Customer Service and the representative tried to help as they always do. He looked up the phone's information and told me he had a number for the seller and they'll be willing to help me. Lo and behold, the number he gave me was the same number that was no longer valid. I was very dissapointed when there was no way to get intouch with the company.I went ahead and ordered a phone I know will not let me down and that's an AT&T phone. I purchased a black big button phone with all the same features made by AT&T. When that phone came, I followed the directions, had it up where I wanted it and BINGO! Everything worked. Speaker, handset the works, it works! I was not surprised. AT&T makes a good phone all the time. So I will stay away from the other brands, and stick with what I know works. If it's cheaper, then you are getting what you pay for, we've all heard that before.

The Northwestern Bell Big-Button Corded Phone Plus with 13-Number Memory was purchased for my 95-year old mother who wears hearing aids. My existing phones made her hearing aids whistle when she raised the receivers to her ear, and if she held them below her ear to avoid the whistle, she couldn't understand the other party. We chose this phone because both the hand-held receiver and the speaker phone had volume controls. The phone arrived promptly and connected effortlessly. It worked perfectly out of the box. As an added bonus, she can hold it to her ears without causing her hearing aids to squeal. She can hear everything clearly when using either the hand-held receiver or the speaker phone. She is thrilled with the difference this has made to her life (her squealing hearing aids were painful enough to make her feel sick to her stomach.) This is a wonderful phone for those with weak eyesight as the numbers are large and the keys have raised braille numbers. But it is as great a gift for anyone who is hard of hearing. I highly recommend this phone to everyone who is hard of hearing or who wears hearing aids. If I could give a higher rating than five stars, I would gladly give it.Added Nov 30, 2012: After I wrote the initial review, I purchased two more of these phones for Mom's house. They worked perfectly out of the box and were so easy to hook up that she did it herself. And Mom is not a do-it-yourself kind of gal!

Telefono tiene muchisimas funciones que normalmente no se encuentran en telefonos de ese rango de precio, inclusive un calendario.Lo recomiendo tambien por su pantalla, grande, y por ultimo el teclado y el telefono se observan de buena calidad.Me veo en la penosa necesidad de reclasificar mi evaluacion. En realidad todo lo anterior enunciado es correcto, sin embargo el instructivo podria ser mas explicito para poder configurar-lo que nunca logre, amigable y lo peor es que las teclas falsean. NO COMPRAR
