Lovely scent, brilliant exfoliation and all round new favourite morning wash product.

This vegan friendly UK made face scrub comes in fun packaging with a skull and crossbones logo on a good quality aluminium tin. Alas it comes without a seal which is disappointing in a premium product. The scrub takes the form of a really thick cream with the tiny particles of olive stone very clearly visible throughout-it is really great to see no plastic in the mix. This translates into the experience on the skin which is quite an abrasive one-for me this is what you look for in a scrub with a very real sense of the removal of dead or dry skin flakes. It is certainly a more effective way of unclogging the pores than a standard facewash. The cream does not make a great lather and because it has so many particles it is not advisable to overwork it into the skin-a gentle circular motion is quite sufficient. After washing away with warm water no particles are left on the skin and there is a very noticeable smoothness and glow which leaves you feeling really refreshed. This would work brilliantly to get you going first thing or even better to take off the accrued dirt of a day on the go at work or when travelling particularly in the city. There is a light perfume here, but nothing heavy and if you apply a decent moisturizer after use you will be well set for the day or an evening out feeling clean and ready to go. This is not a cheap face scrub, but it will last and is a pleasure to use.

Too oily for me. If you have really dry skin this might be great for you, but for me it doesn't leave me feeling clean.

I don't often write reviews but I really like this. The best face scrub I've used, and I've tried more expensive ones. It's really rough (which I like) and has a very nice fragrance. Highly recommended.

I've been using this for over a month now as part of my skincare routine... I've used a few different scrubs in the past so I have a fairly decent idea of how to compare this.I've found with this product, that contrary to the instructions which tell you to take a dollop of cream, it's best to actually take a small amount and work on a specific area of your face, before taking a little bit more to work on somewhere else. The whole point of a scrub is for the little hard granules to scrape against your skin and remove all the dead skin and dirt etc... When you take a dollop, you're not going to get any friction because there's just too much cream. Yes, once the dollop spreads out it'll become fine, but it's easy to be tricked into thinking you've properly scrubbed your whole face when you actually haven't.The scrub smells nice, feels nice, washes off easily, and makes your skin feel great afterwards! This has substituted my previous scrub nicely and it works great with the rest of my skincare routine.Would recommend!

You can tell this is a quality product from the way it is packaged through to how effective it is to use. You get a small metal tub of face scrub with smart blue 'The Bluebeards Revenge' branding. Inside it is well filled with a creamy face wash with small beads of ground olive stones. These are a great natural alternative to the micro beads used in similar face scrubs in the past and will not pollute water supplies as they do either.Using the scrub is simple - applying a small amount of scrub to the face to help remove dead skin and blackheads. The scrub gives a deep clean and helps invigorate the skin, although as it is a mild abrasive, I would recommend not using it every day and restrict to 2 or 3 times a week at most. The scent of the scrub is pleasant and slightly masculine - nothing too bad that should put anyone off it though.The only real downside I have is the price. Although it does go a very long way, it is expensive when compared to more 'run-of-the-mill' scrubs, but it is way more environmentally friendly with a reusable metal tin and no micro beads in sight.

I optioned to review this with my hubby being the guinea pig but when it arrived, even though I don’t sport any bristles (although my grandchildren might plead otherwise with the occasional electric Nanny Shock when I kiss them goodbye 😬) it looked so good, I tried it myself.I’m not a fan of sweet or cloying scents on beauty/cleansing products, so this was perfect with its nice fresh smell. It works gently on the skin and just a small amount was sufficient. My face felt very soft and smooth and it had a good exfoliating affect without it being harsh or drying. I have quite sensitive skin and had no adverse reaction at all. The added bonus which is a must for any products we buy is it being eco friendly with a recyclable tin and the use of ground natural olive stones instead of harmful microbeads.And hubby’s contribution to this review..... ‘Absolutely boss, does what it says on the tin!’ so that’s a 10/10 from him.The rest of The Bluebeards Revenge Products are now on his Christmas wish list.I received this product as part of the Amazon Vine programme.
