How long is the warranty? Usually this tv has a 5 year warranty. Would amazon help in case of issues during those 5 years

This is where consumers get confused regarding their consumer rights.  Ignore @Pedro's answer as it is incorrect.  Insurance is only necessary against accidental damage and nothing else.  A number of retailers were prosecuted and fined heavily, including that big retail store that once had three brands and after closing most of it's stores and is now struggling to maintain one brand.  They were prosecuted for "misselling insurance".

Manufacturers have a legal obligation to offer a one year guarantee on their products but responsibility actually lays with the retailer.  Under consumer rights legislation consumers can hold a retailer liable for defects and breakdowns of critical parts for a period of up to six years.  I did say for a period of "up to" intentionally as consumer rights legislation states it.  It is a grey area as the length of your rights actually depends on the product, the intended use of the product and the price paid for that product.  So, a £7 kettle from a supermarket would be covered by the manufacturers warranty against the element packing up within one year, as that is a critical part for it's function.  However, no judge would find it acceptable to allow a claim for a five year old £7 kettle finally packing up as five years use of the product at a cost of just over £1 per year is negligible.  However, if an element goes in a £600 cooker after only three years, so the oven becomes disfunctional then a claim can be made for the "retailer" to do a repair or to refund.  Refunds are awarded based on the original cost and the length of time that the product has been used for.  So, if a retailer refuses to repair the three year old cooker then a court can order the retailer to repair the product and if the parts for the repair are no longer available then the courts can order a "partial refund".  So, three years use of a £600 cooker would probably result in around a £150 refund as it's life was expected to last the whole six years, at least.  With depreciation in value and three years use £150 would be about right.  If a breakdown happens after five years then should a repair not be possible it's likely that the value of the refund on a £600 cooker would be so low that no refund would be ordered.

As the value of this TV is over £1,000 your consumer rights should give you as much protection against breakdown as any insurance policy would.  Additionally, be wary of insurance policies as they might be advertised as 3 years cover or 5 years cover but you only get two years  or four years cover and at a higher cost.  Insurers rely on the manufacturers warranty for the first year of your policy so you are paying them for what is free and a legal obligation on the manufacturer.

Insurance is only a viable option if there is a risk of accidental damage but parts failing due to inherent faults are covered in consumer legislation.

Finally, you will find that this TV only has a one year warranty, as all TVs do.  Some retailers do offer five year warranties but the manufacturer only covers the first year and the retailer then gives a further four years cover at their cost, which is basically their legal obligation anyway.
