Worth the $$$
Got this for Xmas and so far it’s awesome (after 1 use)! It’s smaller than I expected but that will help with storage. It is heavy; good when you’re using it so you’re not worried about the machine sliding around (the rubber feet also help), not so great when moving it around from storage. Instructions aren’t great but plenty of YouTube videos out there. Build quality feels really good and sturdy. The adjustment knob is wound tight so don’t be afraid to use some muscle, same when taking off the tray. Action is smooth and quiet. Sliced some leftover roast beef and it was paper thin. Cleaning is kind of a pain as you have to take things apart but it’s worth the effort. Can’t wait to use this more!

Every bit as solid as it looks.
This slicer is fantastic. Well made. Slightly smaller than the huge ones you would see at a deli counter but without loosing the quality solid feel when working with it. This would work well for a small to mid size caterer or in my case, someone that wants the pro-level slicer at home. It stays firmly put on the counter while you are using it and will cut paper thin slices. I’ve wanted one for quite some time. This one for me is the best value for the money.

Top notch prosumer slicer
The KWS MS-10DT is a well-built, smooth running machine that cuts meat beautifully. I've cut many cold cuts in varying thicknesses, semi-frozen beef for Italian beef, and homemade bacon. The slices are consistent end-to-end and top-to-bottom. It even cuts super-thin slices dialed down at a 0.5 setting. I chose this model for two reasons: reviews (faith/hope) that it would slice thin and even, and for the blade removal tool. After watching cleaning videos I decided it was too scary without one. This was one of the few brands in the 10” class that had it. I was disappointed that the less expensive MS-10NT didn't include one (and you can't easily add it – the tool requires matching holes in the blade). I should probably ding it a star for these but I won't because I'm so happy with the cutting performance. 1) Even with the Teflon blade, slices occasionally stick, get pulled through and flung out the back. I think a slice guard that is larger with a tighter fit to the blade would stop this. 2) The first down-facing pin on the product grip is a thick piece of plastic to keep the grip from banging on the product tray. However, when slicing a long, thin product (ex. pepperoni), this is the only tooth to grip it and it doesn't do a very good job. 3) The gap between the blade and product tray should be smaller. Combined with the length of the teeth on the product grip you're left with a substantial sized meat-end that can't be sliced. A few things others have noted: 4) You can't cut full length bacon. This is just a fact for any 10” machine. 5) Cleaning is a bit time consuming but no worse than any other slicer of this type. 6) I never had the slicer slide around. Just keep the feet and countertop very clean. 7) The slicer DOES slice completely end-to end. Just make sure you push the tray all the way (compressing the spring underneath). It might be a little easier if they had used a rubber bumper instead of a spring. All-in-all I'm happy with the machine and would recommend it.

AWESOME Seller. Excellent machine, excellent value
I agonized over which slicer to buy for WEEKS and read DOZENS of reviews. Buying any of these Chinese machines is a gamble, but KWS is truly trustworthy. Ultimately I chose this machine based on the SELLER. That was wise and I am SO GLAD I did. More on that below. This has plenty of power. It slices full slabs of bacon beautifully and perfectly. Yes, you have to fold the slab in half, but that's no big deal and even a 12" slicer will require you to do that. It will also SHAVE meat paper thin. I bought this specifically for those two reasons: Bacon, and shaving meat super thin. I love to make my own meats and slice them deli thin and pile them on sandwiches. I have made my own smoked turkey breast, roast beef, smoked roast beef, and all kinds of stuff I could only dream of. My wife and kids LOVE having fresh deli meat that has only the ingredients I put in it. I am very reluctant to rate this 4 stars instead of 5, but I did have a problem. One of the screws that holds the blade on was stripped. I read about this problem with other slicers and I am extremely mechanical and handy (I have a 500 square foot shop with every tool known to man). I was extremely cautious with the screws, but as I said, one was stripped. The seller offered to replace the machine, but I asked to have the part sent to me. They HAVE PARTS!! They sent it to me free of charge. For now, I'm just being very careful, but I will have to replace the pulley piece eventually. Cleaning is not bad, but you WILL need no-cut gloves. Get a pair, not just one. I scoffed at this advice, then got a single one locally, then got a pair here on Amazon (for the same price as the single). I don't understand those fussing about cleaning it. Go to your local grocer's deli at closing time and watch the nightmare of cleaning the commercial machines. Just like a commercial machine costing thousands, it will sling little bits around if you cut a lot of meat at once. Put some foil under it and up the wall a few inches before using it. (That is not a criticism or a negative. This is a very well-made machine and there is no slicer made that doesn't operate like this.) I haven't cut cheese yet, but with the power it has, I am 100% confident it will sail through it. Summary: This thing is awesome, I love it, and I'd buy it again.

So far, so good
I'm new to meat slicers, but I did a bunch of research and reviews. I settled on this brand (a person I know has the 10" version) and this size - 12". It's nice and heavy - which is what I wanted. I wanted it to be stable and it definitely is. Everything seems well made and designed (for usage). Couple of things: 1) The plastic shipping guard broke and left a piece inside the post where the sharper attachment goes. I couldn't figure out why the sharpening stones weren't making content. Very frustrating, until I looked inside round slot and saw the partial obstacle. Once that was removed, the sharpening module worked just fine. 2) If you try to cut meat that is too soft (like meat that is almost "pulled" part), it may fling it out the opposite side. This was a shocker for me hahah. Lesson learned. 3) Get no-cut or cut-resistance gloves! The blade is both insanely sharp AND heavy. It's awkward at first to handle it when cleaning. I practiced about 3 times assembling and disassembling it (and cleaning it) before I became more comfortable with it. AGAIN, the blade is HEAVY. I recommend a portable wash container that's right next to the unit, rather than trying to carry it over to the sink or whatever. If you drop it on your foot.. well, it'll probably go through bone. Best not to find out. 4) The screws that hold in the blade are phillips type. I'm not a fan. I'll probably replace them with allen screws at some point (I know a machinist that can make them for me). But more importantly, there's no "lock" for the blade, which makes it awkward to remove the screws. I had to use a rubber wedge to stop the blade from moving while I torqued the screws (for both removing and assembling). Not a big deal, but I was a bit surprised by this lack of design. Other than that, it's pretty nice. I even cut some bread with it (a french loaf with a hard crusty outside). Meats and cheeses cut really nice on it. I do plan on shaving some frozen meats (for hotpot) and the 400+ watt power should be able to handle the job.

Value For Price
I had purchased a Chef'sChoice 6150000 Food Slicer back in January 2015. It was a good slicer, easy to use and easy to clean. But it was a light duty slicer. When it finally fell apart a week ago, (Meat partially still frozen was to much of a load for the light duty slicer) I decided to hunt something down that was a little heavier duty,....yet still in my budget. After a good bit of time researching, I settled on this. The KWS Premium Commercial 320w Electric Meat Slicer 10" with Non-sticky Teflon Blade. It came in today. I unboxed the unit and was immediately somewhat disappointed. I immediately saw two scratches on the main body of the slicer. I thought about sending it back,...then decided it was just a tool. My next step was to perform an operation because of fellow reviews. I took the unit apart so I could remove the three screws holding the blade. When I got to the three screws,.....I found that they were NOT overly tight. But I was again disappointed in the plate that covers the blade. There was an edge that looks to have hit something hard. The edge was rough and I knew it would catch the product I would be slicing. Also the actual blade had an imperfection on it, that was coated over with Teflon. If I was to ever slice cheese,....this would be where the cheese would stick and start to build up. I did browse through the owners manual and as others have stated,.....it is pretty much useless. I cleaned everything up and put it back together. I then started slicing boneless chicken. These are my observations. The machine is very quiet. And the machine does slice very well. Is it a true commercial slicer? No! But you have to use common sense here. A machine that costs less than $400 will never compete with a machine that costs several thousands of dollars. Is it heavier duty than the $125 Chef'sChoice 6150000 Food Slicer? Absolutely! What I like about the slicer is I do believe that it will last me several years, especially since I am a very light user. I will perhaps use the machine 1/2 hour every two weeks. What I do not like is the blemishes that seem to have left the factory this way. (No damage to outside box what so ever.) It is also much more difficult to clean than my previous slicer. But I expect all slicers built to replica commercial slicers would have that same difficulty. In a nut shell, the reason this slicer is not re-packaged and labeled to go back to Amazon is because I believe it is still a good value for the price paid.

A great piece of equipment
I've had this slicer for a few years now and can say it is a great slicer. It is quiet, the blade is sharp, it has plenty of power, and it has handled everything I've thrown at it. I routinely shave raw venison that is slightly frozen and it preforms flawlessly. There are instances that it will throw raw meat from the blade, but I've worked in meat departments when I was young and all slicers will do this occasionally depending on what you are slicing and whether it's raw, partially frozen, or frozen. I prop up a cutting board to catch the occasional instances where this has happened.

Slices great, but has flaws
Pros: Powerful motor slices meat easily. Base is sturdy doesn't wobble or move around on you. Cons: This slicer, out of the box comes way too tight. What I mean by that is I wanted to clean everything before using it. Everything is way too tight to take apart. The blade guard, the meat tray and the worst was the blade. The screws on the blade were so tight, it felt like the screws had loctite on them. Be careful taking those screws off! They're stainless steel screws and can strip easily. I got lucky and didn't strip mine. You're gonna have to grease everything. The thickness adjuster is really hard to turn. It doesn't turn easily and smooth. Same thing with the slide on the meat tray. I had to use the screw knob on the bottom as the handle because if I used the actual handle on top, it won't move back and forth. So now I'm gonna have to buy some food grade lubricant, get under the slice and lubricate the slide rail and the adjustment knob, hopefully that'll work. Only cuts up to half an inch. Minor gripe, the steel work on this isn't the best. Nothing compromising like chipping or dents. But the steel does have flaws. Overall: If you don't mind tinkering with it and can fix those few flaws then it's a great slicer. The motor is powerful, it holds steady doesn't wobble around and cuts meats like butter. But if you're looking for something that can cut meats thick, more than half an inch or want something that works great right of the box, then this might not be the slicer you're looking for.
