Be in a Treehouse: Design / Construction / Inspiration

Good book. Well described processes, great pictures, very informative. We can't wait to build our own treehouse!

My boyfriend and I surprisingly gave each other this same book as a Christmas gift, as we both love treehouses, and plan on building one together next year! I’ve rented 3 airbnb treehouses and now want one of my own.

Great book, great price, quick delivery. Pete Nelson is an excellent treehouse builder and instructorI am currently designing a treehouse for my two grandchildren. I'm planning starting in April. This book helps with the foundation of a new world for me and our grandchildren.

Having already enjoyed Pete Nelson's television show and a couple of his previous books I knew that "Be In A Treehouse" would be a useful book for when it comes time to construct my own "get away in the trees". The book is broken down into easy to read sections on all the aspects of contemporary treehouse design and construction. Specifically designed hardware make treehouse building safer and more available - as long as you've got the tree (or trees) to support a structure. The book provides examples of treehouses that Pete has built as well as those built by others. Through the given examples Pete is able to illustrate pros and cons of methods of construction that he and others have developed over the years. Most importantly Pete tells us where he's failed, offering his solutions or lessons learned from those mistakes. If you are like me and love your trees and loved your childhood treehouse (or fort or clubhouse, etc...) then do yourself a favor and pick up this book.

Pete Nelson delivers in this incredible book complete with photos, building descriptions and inspirational ideas. We watch Treehouse Masters constantly and absolutely love his work. This book also makes a great father's day gift as my husband hasn't put it down since it arrived. Great details and actual illustrations on how the treehouses were built. Love it and love the Nelson gang. We just need more new episodes of Treehouse Masters!

Love all of Pete Nelson’s books. My hubby and I bought some amazing property along a river in Virginia’s Blue Ridge that has 100 year old hickory & walnuts trees that are PERFECT for building a treehouse village. Brings out the kid in us! We can’t wait!!!

We have his first treehouse book, and this one just builds on the first success. We LOVE it. Great book, and instructional, too.

Bought as a present for my husband, when's a fan of the show and he loves it.

Habe mir zuerst ein anderes Buch zu dem Thema gekauft, weil ich dieses gar nicht gefunden hatte. Liegt wohl daran, dass es das Buch nicht auf deutsch gibt. Wer des Englischen allerdings einigermaßen mächtig ist, findet hier das beste Allround Buch zum Thema Baumhaus.Man findet von der ersten Idee bis zum fertigen Baumhaus alles Nötige einfach erklärt und, anhand von eigenen Erfahrungen des Autors, veranschaulicht. Einige Tipps, wie z.B. die Materialbeschaffung in den USA, bringen einem hier natürlich nichts.Trotzdem ist das Buch jeden Cent wert und ein toller Begleiter beim Baumhausbau.PS: Falls jmd. noch mehr Rezensionen lesen möchte, geht das übrigens auf der amerikanischen amazon Seite. Da ist das Buch sehr populär und auch sehr gut bewertet!
