Just what I needed
Stays in place, viewing angles are great but the mirror could be better. It is clear but the image looks farther away than it is. Love how it attached to my helmut.

Scratched optics and bad adhesive.
The build quality of these mirrors did not meet my expectations. Upon receiving the product, I immediately noticed that both mirrors had scratches, which significantly impaired visibility. anything you can see in the mirror is fuzzy and not clear. Additionally, the adhesive used to affix the plastic mirrors to the cup at the end of the amr was subpar. One of the mirrors was falling out of the cup within minutes of opening the package, making it completely unusable.Given the poor quality of both the optics and the adhesive, I ended up returning the product. I would not recommend these mirrors to anyone. The one benefit is that the mirrors are lightweight, but I did not want to deal with the fuzziness of the view.

Poor reflective quality, but it works.
It's fine for the price. I think I paid $10 for the pair. To get it in the right location on my helmets, the stick-on piece is in conflict with the inner padding. The padding has a different type of "velcro" and the stick-on for the mirror is covering up part of the one for the padding. Not a huge deal, but we'll see what long term effect that may have. The main reason I only gave it 4 stars is the reflective quality. At first i didn't think I'd be able to discern anything while riding, but it works and for $5 apiece, it's what you pay for. If you are looking for a good quality reflective mirror, then you need to spend a few more $$. Once installed it seems to be sturdy enough and it can be adjusted relatively easy to fit your desired location. I can see other cyclists in the mirror well enough. For cars, unless they are going really slow, by the time you see them in the mirror it's too late to do anything, so you should not depend on this to see vehicular traffic. That could probably be said about any helmet mounted convex mirror of any quality. If you want to see vehicles you need to turn your head (briefly). Don't forget to yell out to other cyclists when you know a car is approaching and from what direction (back, right, left, up).

Don't need convex.
I have great eyesight, don't use glasses. This mirror really messes up my view, though. If it was a flat mirror, this product would be perfect. It's so hard to see things that are far away. So, I really can't see very well if a car is coming from far off.For me, the adhesive works pretty well. I would recommend making sure the inside of your helmet at the temple area is flat. Otherwise, the adhesive doesn't have enough of a surface to hold onto. The adjustability of the mirror is great and doesn't move much when I hit a bump.I definitely prefer the helmet mounted mirror over the sunglasses mounted mirror because it doesn't weigh your glasses down on one side.

several design defects
I've used many bike mirrors. This one has several problems.1) it only mounts on the inside of the helmet. This is because the hook and loop fastener is pre-attached to one side of the mounting surface. Since the placement is limited, mainly to the area around the ear, the long arm doesn't reach very far in front of one's face. The mirror ends up rather close.2) the mirror is not flat glass, it is curved plastic. It's a wide angle lens which puts the focal point about 2 feet in front of your eyes. If you are far-sighted, it is difficult to focus. It also means that objects in the mirror are smaller and closer than they appear.3) the joint between the rod and mirror is longer than it needs to be. This means that the mirror can't be close to the rod, making positioning awkward. On the plus side, the rod is metal and thus can be bent as needed. The hook and loop fastener means that the mirror can be removed.

Better than expected
I've been using these mirrors for years. It does take a while to learn how to use them - to train your eye to focus on the mirror properly so you can see. It also takes some time before you figure out how best to adjust the mirror so you can see over your shoulder if you turn your head slightly. With that said - these are nice units and a good value. Some people complained about the quality of the mirror - that it was foggy and not clear. They must not realize that there is a protective film on the mirror that needs to be removed before you use it! It's not easy to see - or to get off. So I can understand the oversight. This is one negative about this particular product. Just keep digging on the edges with your fingernail and it'll eventually come up. Then the glass is spotless and clean and you should have no problem with the clarity.I think a lot of the poor reviews on this is because the purchasers don't like the whole concept of this mirror type. It's difficult to use and adjust which can result in people giving up in frustration. I understand that. It's not for everyone. There are other options. I like this design because it's simple and compact. I feel unsafe without it now because I've been using these for so long. If you beat on your gear or throw your helmet around - it probably won't last either. It's light and long and can be broken. But if you like this type of mirror - this is a good option.

Mirrors not clear
Mirrors are foggy, scratched, and not very clear. On one of the two mirror assemblies, the mirror was detached from the backing plate, needed to reattach it with glue. Absolute garbage.

Good side project
I bought these as a pair because it needs both supports.i arranged them for one bar and then glued my own mirror to it.I've seen others like these but at this price point, the two would be the best for what I am going to do.It's worth it if you have a pack of mirrors and the glue already.
