Alligator clips are very light duty - wires too thin
The alligator clips work fine for light duty, but a not suitable for high wattage. They were shown in conjunction with a 12V battery suggesting they could be used for recharging. I would not us these clips for that purpose.

Great buy. Sturdy connections and the alligator clips are just the right size. Small enough to grab an SLA rechargeable battery tab but big enough to grab a post.
