I don't have a wine cooler but I like to drink my wine at the correct temperature. My wines are all store room temp so whenever there is a party I chill them ahead of time. There are MANY MANY times where I just wanted to sip a glass without waiting 20-30 for it to get to ideal temperature. I have tried cooling rocks, sticks, ice bucket, freezer... none of them works fast enough or consistence enough. This sleeve is sooooooo easy to use and doesn't use much space in the freezer. It also cools my Cab to 62F from 74 in about 5 mins less. Pinor is about 10. When you put it in the black plastic holder, it doesn't sweat and looks quite elegant. I also use it to hold my champagne and whites to keep it cold. Only small problem is Pinor fits a little tighter than cab due to the shape of the sleeve. I have one time it didnt even fit cause it was somewhat odd shape. It is not meant to fit all. This is God sent. I am getting for all wine drinkers in my life.

We use the inner gel pac a lot. In the summer in the desert, ten minutes around a red gets the first taste down from our high-70s room temp (five minutes will probably work in the winter). Then we take the pac off. The shell alone (without the gel pac) helps keep the temperature stable during a party, and it looks nice. Using the outer shell over the gel pac is often more trouble than it is worth -- larger bottles cannot be slipped out to serve, and the shell is rather bulky to handle. The pac takes up far less room in the freezer than marble or ceramic wine coolers. To get five stars, maybe the pac could have an elastic section so that it would fit smoothly over larger bottles and so the bottle could be slipped out for pouring.

This little chiller does the job as advertised. Red wine is supposed to be just slightly chilled, and this will do that quickly from room temp. I recommend chilling white wine before putting it in this, however. It will keep it cool, but does not quite do the job of getting it cool enough from room temp, IMO. One other note is to pull the bottle out of the chiller to pour. If you don't, you will be picking the chiller up off the floor. The bottle will slip easily back into the chiller, and I am sure this was by design. Not a big deal, but just keep it in mind. All in all, this is a perfect way to enjoy a bottle of wine without the watery, drippy mess of an ice bucket. However, it is only good for 1 bottle unless they are already chilled. It can keep two or three chilled bottles cool, or can cool one bottle of red from room temp. So if you expect to serve and/or have more than one bottle, I would recommend chilling them before putting them in this.

This tabletop wine chiller is great. You don't use ice for this one which can be such a mess. It has a nice insert you put in the freezer and then you put in thru the bottom which twist off easily then back on. It fits a regular size wine bottle, it wouldn't fit a big champagne like bottle. I put in a bottle of wine that was about 60 degrees when it started and with in about 20 mins to a half hour my wine was very chilled and within an hour it was very cold so if you are my like husband he likes all his wine cold and it keeps it cold for a very long time you could finish the bottle in one setting if you wanted and it would stay cold to the last drop. I love the stainless steel look also it looks vey nice on your table when entertaining. This table top wine chiller is made really well I really love it.
