THERMOSStainless King Vacuum-Insulated Food Jar with Spoon, 16 Ounce, Midnight Blue

I bought this to replace a Stanley soup thermos that the lid was starting to get hard to open on (the threads would cross). I like the size and the spoon is nice to have for when I forget to grab one in the morning but it does not stay piping hot all day. I typically fill my thermoses with boiling water while I heat up the stuff going in. I usually fill it around 7 am as I'm walking out the door. The Stanley used to still be boiling hot at 3 pm even if it was in my lunch cooler. This one was Luke warm at noon.

Does that sound overblown? I don't know. I've needed to improve my eating habits in a return-to-the-workplace world, and I cherish this thermos for the way it makes it so easy for me to have a healthy, satisfying breakfast every day. Four ounces of old-fashioned oats, eight ounces of boiling water, a dollop of Better than Bouillon chicken concentrate, stir well, crack an egg into it, and open an hour later at my desk. Perfection. So good I do it on the weekends too, more often than not. Essential everyday carry.

I like to take hot soup or tea with me for winter outings. This pint container has proven to be durable, keeps liquids hot for at least a half day and is easy to clean. If you drop it, it may dent, but being all metal, it survives and continues to do its job. The wide mouth makes it easy to eat from for stews or drink from. The screw on cap can be used as a serving bowl so you can share the contents with someone.

Absolutely like this! Keep my food hot for whole day, easy clean, just remember heat it up real hot before you put the food in it !

WHY I GAVE THIS ITEM 4 STARS IS THAT IT COULD WORK ON ITS LOCKING THREAD ON ITS CAP IT TENDS AT TIMES TO REQUIRE TO BE RESEALED TO BE OPENED AS ITS AIR TIGHT WITH THE HEAT. IT COMES WITH A FOLDABLE SPORK WHICH IS GOOD FOR STORAGE. IT IS ALSO EASY TO WASH AND APPEARS TO NOT GET RUST AFTER EACH WASH MAKING THIS A DURABLE PRODUCT.

Don’t have a photo of it, but it is how it is on the picture. The food is hot for 8 hours, you can pour soup in it too. We bought one, later I ordered another one for my husband as well.
