I received this foodville thermometer right before a big cross country move.Ive used it in my old home and also on the go in my hotel room kitchen.This thermometer performs perfectly. This packs a lot of function into a single package! You get a remote probe thermometer in addition to an instant read thermometer.The instant read thermometer is turned on as soon as you open it, and it shuts off when you close it, so you don't have to worry about forgetting to turn it off and wearing out the battery. The probe is strong and won't break, and gives you a temperature reading right away.The remote sensor gives you the function of another whole thermometer, that you'd otherwise have to buy separately. It has a nice long cord with a metal sheath that should last a long time.On Thanksgiving I used the remote thermometer, putting a probe into the meaty part of the thigh, and then to test whether the bird was ready to come out of the oven, used the instant thermometer to check the temperature of the breast. Once the breast reached 160, I took it out, allowing it to gain that last 5 degrees out of the oven. The breast was perfectly cooked, nice a moist, and the thigh was not overcooked.The whole instrument is well made, and should last a long time. Given that it does the job of two different thermometers, and does both of them very well, I think it's an excellent buy. I'm very happy with it.

Recv’d this for an HONEST review.Per usual, shipping was on time & packaged great! This is definitely a must have if you’re like me when it comes to over cooking meat! I REALLY LIKE the fact there are 2 options to use the probes: probe (on the thermometer) or a wired probe (put in the side and use with grilling) that provide versatility when checking the temperature of my meats!My son actually grills A LOT & used the wired probe when he grilled his brisket (I should’ve taken pics) and it turned out perfect!This is right in time for when we smoke our turkeys & do our ham for Thanksgiving!

Needed a meat probe after moving to a new apartment, and this one seemed to fit the bill. Above all else, it is accurate! First thing I did with it was to test it against my temperature select kettle, both displayed the same temperature, which I was very pleased to see. The temperature reading updates quickly, and the LCD is large and easy to read. When I plugged in the second probe, it had the exact same temperature reading as the main probe. Great to see they are consistent. Im sure the second probe will come in handy when roasting or grilling. The wire is connected to is thin and pretty long, I can actually put it in my over and close the oven door. Great feature. It also comes with an extra battery which is pretty cool. The strong magnet in the back lets me stick it to the side of my fridge for easy grabbing while cooking. Overall, a great product. Glad I got this one, as I own other FoodVille products and I love the company's customer service, they're truly exceptional. One of the best brands I have come across on Amazon. Highly recommend their rechargeable Milk Frother, I use it every day and its one of my best little kitchen gadgets!

Foodville thought of everything when they produced this thermometer. They were able to merge several functions in to one and eliminate my need to have different thermometers for different uses. I love the style of the handle. It fits well in the hand. With the two probes, I can easily use the thermometer to measure the temperature of food sitting in a pan, or I can use the probe on the wire inside my kettle grill with the thermometer safely magnetized to the shelf on the side. The ability to turn on and turn off the backlight saves battery life during the day. Foodville even included an extra battery for the device... something I have never seen in a small kitchen item. The thermometer is accurate and easy to store. So grateful that they were able to combine so much into one device. This eliminated my need for multiple thermometers.
