Packs a Punch
These are cute and stylish as well as being good quality! I go to cardio kickboxing 5 times a week and these are holding up great!

Nice gloves but the color isn't what shows up on the listing
I decided to try a different brand since all gloves I bought for my lesson program have proven to be of very mediocre quality and seem to run really small now for some reason. I really like these Venum gloves for the cushioning. I got the 14 oz. and I have plenty of room for my hands and wrists. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the color. I got the gold, thinking it would be more of a pewter, which is what shows up on the computer screen. However, the color is very GOLD. Like yellow gold. Other than that, I really like the gloves.

Good beginner gloves
These are good for beginner Muay Thai (I’m a beginner who didn’t want to spend $$$ on my first gloves!). I’m a tall woman with pretty long arms and fingers, although very narrow hand and wrists, and the 16oz doesn’t seem comically large on me. Nice padding. My wrists feel stable, but I’ve fought in stiffer gloves with better protections, so take note if you don’t wear hand wraps. I don’t love the extra long Velcro straps as I would have preferred shorter straps and a strap slot that’s easier to tighten and remove when you have gloves on. The one thing to note is that the gap in the palm of the glove is pretty open. It’s good for ventilation but if you’re holding up gloves for punches, it leaves your palms unprotected and the glove a little less stable. Hand wraps would probably solve this concern. Overall, I’m happy with them as a beginner glove! If I continue with Muay Thai I may upgrade to another brand, but this is good value.

Great gloves for fitness classes.
I take a HIIT (high intensity interval training) boxing class twice a week. There is bag work but no sparring. I had been using the provided gloves and wraps but decided it was more hygienic to get my own so I was looking for inexpensive but quality gloves and warps. Several boxing blogs recommended Venum, and one specifically recommended the Challenger 2.0 for beginners. I use the 14 oz gloves (the "size" is based on your height and weight and how you will be using them not your hand size) because those are considered good for both bag work and sparring should I ever decide to do that.I've now been using these gloves for two weeks in conjunction with the Venum Kontact Gel Glove Wraps Venum "Kontact" Gel Glove Wraps, Black and the combination is great. The gloves are snug but not constricting and they feel very secure with the wraps on underneath them. I am able to close the large velcro closures easily and tightly (using my teeth to close my right hand after my left hand is already gloved).I was a little apprehensive when I first tried them on, though. They seemed very tight and my hands are what I would consider medium. This turned out to just be new product stiffness and they totally softened up during that first class. They are super comfy, much better than the class provided gloves. As for care, I wipe off the entire glove, inside and out, with anti-bacterial wipes after every class then lay them out in the sun with the velcro closures open. I do the same with the wraps I wear. I've read where you can put them in the freezer to destroy any lingering bacteria. I haven't tried that yet, but probably will when they are a few more weeks older.
