This chili powder is the bomb! Hot, but the bomb! It is made of ONLY Red Chili's - so it brings the heat as well as flavor to dishes. I orginally tried it because I was on a FODMAP diet and couldn't have garlic or onion - and most chili powder is a blend of many spices that includes red chili. This chili powder is straight red chili with nothing added. My suggestion (until you decide how spicy you want it) is to use about 1/3 of what your recipe calls for. It will still have some heat to it but shouldn't blow the heads off of your family. Delicious!!!

I just purchased this for the second time, and it changed my life as much as a chili powder can. We like spicy food in our house, and in the last year I have dived into Indian cuisine from various regions. That led me to seeking out a higher quality chili powder. This chili powder is delicious, with a deep, rich and complex flavor. I have found myself putting it on everything - chicken, pork, potatos, veggies, bbq - anything.It is relatively spicy and is not a 1:1 substitute for your standard grocery brand chili powder. It is definitely spicier (and better!) but spice is so subjective that it’s difficult to express the level. You will not be disappointed! If you are looking for a good blog to dive into Indian cuisine - Glebekitchen has not steered us wrong yet!Update: the second bottle I ordered came in the exact bottle, but was a completely different product! Different color, different taste, different spice, and different texture. I am extremely disappointed. It tastes more like smoked paprika that’s been sitting out in the sun for months on end. Huge bummer. I have attached a photo comparing the color. The deep red powder is from the old bottle, and the orange powder is from the new.

This a pretty good curry spice with good heat but it could have more basic curry flavor.

Having diagnosed as low in magnesium I am finding things that are high in the mineral and are not bad tasting. We'll see if it works...
