Loveeeee
I don’t fully understand why this got a bad review.I love this writer so much! I ended up reading this after I read dear Ava (if you haven’t read it you need to). This book I enjoyed because I feel like more often then not I read the same few books with the same plot... and this was very different then most of the books I read at the time.I think I enjoyed it so much because it’s a very refreshing read. Yes something terrible happens to violet but she isn’t too angsty, which I don’t always want in a book.I loved the two characters together and thought it was a fun, sweet, upbeat book.I enjoyed that they helped each other find themselves. The only thing I didn’t like was that for some reason the author thought fur coats on the bad was hot... it seemed a little silly to me. Hahaha

From tragedy to romance - romcom style
Very Twisted Things is the first book I’ve read by Ilsa Madden-Mills. It was on sale and the synopsis hooked me right away! I needed to know how someone could basically make something with a “creepy” connotation, like a peeping Tom, into something sexy. Well throw in a hot musician and you got yourself a very hot peeper. It’s two years after the most horrific tragedy and Violet “V” is still trying her best to recover and re-establish herself in the land of the living. She has been struggling with finding a way to pull herself out of the darkness when Sebastian Tate moves in behind her Hollywood Hills mansion. Little does she know that he’s the biggest thing in music these days. When she catches him watching her play the violin on her porch, she can’t help but put on a little show that gets them both hot and bothered.Sebastian is trying to build his Hollywood career from musician to actor and a fake relationship with America’s Sweetheart is his ticket. He has no time for distractions, but he can’t stop watching for Violin Girl, whose music is his new addiction. Once they cross paths, they have a hard time going back to being just the girl with the violin and the boy with the blond hair.I really enjoyed reading this book. It was a very quick read about a girl trying to make her way back to her new self after a terrifying life event and a boy more than willing to help her along the way even if he fights it for a time. It was a fairly surface story that didn’t delve too deeply into their pasts, just focused mainly on the most pivotal moment for each of them. I would have liked more background and stories to show why they are the way they are.I felt like the book ended pretty abruptly and wasn’t a fan of the epilogue at all. It felt like a rushed follow up on all of the characters, major and minor, with far fetched life outcomes. It kind of felt like the end of a romcom where they have silly follow up stories like at the end of Legally Blonde. It really threw me off and kind of killed my book high, hence the 3-star rating.

Amazing ending to an amazing series!
So glad I gave this author a shot....she blew me away with this series!I love the MCs, the secondary characters are people we've met and gotten to love too and each story has its own message, angst and redemption!I'm looking forward to one last story, Spider one of the most dynamic secondary.characters who is a mix between Billy idol and James Dean to me with his British accent and bad boy ways....I'm going for his story next.....so worth my time!!!😉

Love Sebastian!!
Amazing is one word I would use to describe this book! I had been waiting impatiently for Sebastian's book and it was well worth the wait!Sebastian and Violet are perfectly matched. He's living the rock star life, trying to escape from being broken hearted. Little did he know when his neighbor Violet started playing her violin, it would rock his world in more ways than one.I loved how Ilsa brought these two broken souls together into such a great love story. Neither of them have had it easy and you can really tell how well they belong together. They open each other's hearts to feelings they never thought possible.I fell in love with Sebastian in book one and have simply loved the Briarcrest series. There's romance, sexual tension, and plenty of heat written into such amazing books that will pull at your heart. You will fall in love with each character in each book and this one didn't disappoint. My heart broke for Sebastian and Violet knowing they were so broken but were able to repair each other's hearts.Ilsa never fails to amaze me with how well she writes because she is always so precise in her writing. You are pulled in and feel like you're a part of the story and feel like you're right there with them. I'm looking forward to see what Ilsa comes up with next.

Good story idea
I did enjoy this book but got bored with all of the unnecessary sex scenes. It's very much the same format as the 2 previous books. What I didn't like was the rushed ending and the silly epilogue. Great characters though.
