I needed a case I could easily remove so we could attach the keyboard for homework. It definitely fulfills that need. But it also shifts out of place on the sides regularly. So we're having to push it back into place. It give the ipad the protection it needs from the normal bumps, but not sure how it would well it would protect if the ipad took a real fall. I guess we'll see

I read a comment where a person was told this cover would fit an iPad first generation. We are talking about the first iPad to come out here. They said yes it did. Well, let me tell you, I got it and NO IT DOES NOT. Now I have a useless cover that doesn't work with my iPad Air either. What a waste!

I like the color of the encasesment but it is not as heavy as I anticipated.
