Not how people was promoting these things seriously American are like wow these are amazing then I ordered them to where I am uk and they just wasn't really worth the hype I mean try them but kinda waste of money I guess I would of loved them if I was a kid lmao

For context, I am an immigrant from the UK. I visited the USA quite a lot as a child, however my parents never let me get Gushers while I was there, and this was in a day and age where American imports into the UK were rare and limited. You see, I covet knowledge. I CRAVE it. And when I can't know what the inside of a building looks like, or what a food tastes like, or what a fabric feels like, then my mind begins to create fantasies of the wonderful things that I simply am forbidden to know. These things become somewhat of a white whale for me - a rabbit hole that I can only imagine indulging in. I wanted to know. Do they taste as good as the other kids said they do? Are they hard gems like they look on the packaging? What makes them a "fruit snack" and not a candy? These questions ate at me for years. All of that to say, I wanted a small treat to bring my order total up to the free shipping threshold, and when Gushers showed up, my childhood desire to know what lurked in that technicolor box all came flooding back. Anyway, they are okay. Fine little candies, a little heavy on the corn syrup for my unrefined palate but that's America for you. While I probably will not order them again, I am glad to have satiated this long-lasting lust for Gushers.

I must say, I did not buy these Fruit Gushers for myself but as a gift for a lady whom I have been seeing on and off for the last 2ish years. She, like many of us, has been feeling down during this Coronavirus pandemic, doing her part to help delay the peak of Covid-19 by social distancing and severely limiting her physical interactions with the outside world. As we were having a no-physical-contact evening of watching Broad City, Between Two Ferns the Movie, and too many episodes of Between Two Ferns, she suddenly became full of life as she remembered her fondness of Gushers; so much so, that I had to pause the episode of Broad City we were watching, as to not miss too much during her gleeful rant. With almost all stores either closed or serving as the perfect Covid-19 playground, I turned to the one and only Amazon to try to provide a little light during these increasingly dark times. When I asked for her reaction: "It was a spiritual experience." That is all. I hope you, one lonely reader, are staying safe during these times, and if I may suggest, share a little Fruit Gushers delight with someone you care about. Or maybe Purell- that also makes a great gift these days.

I love gushers as they remind me of being a kid and eating them on the run. I don't remember the packages being so dang tiny though! Is it that they got smaller or did they just look larger when I was a kid? Who knows, either way they're good. A little over priced, but worth it for the occasional nostalgic nosh.
