Nope. Its going to be a rust color after about a week. Even if you wear it only once a year its going to tarnish. Its cheap crap.

It doesn't turn skin green though it fades in colour if worn in water too much

I'm not home so I can't measure it, but it's so narrow, I wouldn't buy it again...having said that tho, it's a sweet keepsake for a much younger girl than 12. . It was long enough for 7 letters.
