Beeline Protective iPhone 5/5s Case w/ 30" Retractable Carabiner Black

Functions exactly as I expected and desired.

I got this for free to leave an honest review.I used this phone case for a week. There are a few things anyone who is considering purchasing this should consider: first, it's large. You can get used to it pretty quickly, but if you were expecting something thin, look elsewhere. Also look elsewhere if you have larger hands and use the silencing feature on your iPhone a lot. You will need a stick or something to flip the switch.The phone case itself is a nice, matte color that is easy to clean. I never once used the zipline feature, and I wasn't totally sure what it could be useful for. The flash is not usable on this phone case, it just gets reflected back into the camera and your pictures will be washed out. The sound was fine, dropping it wasn't an issue. It won't pop off easily, so that was relaxing. I would use this if I needed extra protection or if I was going hiking/camping somewhere, but other than that I found a lot of the features with the iPhone to be unusable with the case. Be sure that you can ditch those before purchasing!

The concept behind this case is great: keep your phone tethered to your body while you're out adventuring. Unfortunately, the ratchet mechanism isn't the best in practice. The packaging and associated documentation had instructions for two "modes" for the ratchet/retention mechanism (Ratchet and FreeFlow), but my sample either didn't function properly, or was not equipped with the latter. The ratchet mode is all I can comment on, and, I didn't care too much for it. The spring on the ratchet mechanism is too weak, allowing the retention cable to extend when any small centrifugal force is applied, such as the gentle sway from your normal stride (with the carabiner attached to a backpack shoulder strap or fishing vest). I would have preferred to have a "lock" feature, to keep my phone tethered at a set distance. Without at lock feature, this current design would allow my phone to extend far enough to end up in, say, the water as I paddle my canoe--just from the force applied by my rowing motion. As I said, the concept is great, but not thoroughly thought out. Also, the current design does not offer any impact or abrasion protection for the screen. I do really like the "skin" of the case, however. It offers enough grip to aid in manipulating your device, but still be able to slide into or out of a pocket without snagging, and seems to offer enough side/bottom drop protection.

i like this case the 30 in cord with pull ring is awesome i just slip it over my finger while talking and if i drop it it dont hit the ground. this is just ingenious. its perfect for any on the go busy person. as a single mom while on the phone the kids are always tugging and pulling and such and i cant tell you how many times i have dropped my phones in the past but with this case it wont happen again.

The Beeline case is very sturdy and has protected my phone very well. One downfall is that there is no screen protector and the front lip of the case is equal with the front of my phone so I don't know that it would be very protected if it were to drop on the front. However, with the carabiner feature, dropping my phone is less of a worry. The carabiner feature is great and would definitely prevent many accidental falls and drops. I will clip it into my backpack on on a belt loop and then I can feel secure that my phone is safe! Overall I think this is a great product, especially for people who need their phone to be secured to them. Note: I received this product free of charge in exchange for a review.

I recently received this product in exchange for a review. I think this phone case is very nice. The shipping was very fast and it fits my iPhone 5 perfectly. This is perfect for active outdoor activities like biking and hiking. The built-in attachment is great for someone who often loses their phone or takes their phone mountain climbing. Highly recommend!

I purchased this case after watching the video of the guys mountain climbing with the phone attached to their hip. The phone was bouncing and swinging and staying right in place. I purchased this for a phone for my brother who is homeless and keeps losing phones. Perfect! Right? Wrong. The first issue was the little piece of white paper folded up in the packaging that is a warranty disclaimer that basically tells you they have no warranty and if you have any issues they aren't responsible. It also states that the carabiner isn't meant to actually hold the weight of the phone. It says it has 3 positions which one would be to lock the carabiner in place. Nope. So basically he can attach the phone to his belt loop but has to keep the phone in his pocket or let it hang to his knees. It is a very bulky case so it doesn't really fit a pocket. I wouldn't recommend purchasing this if you are looking for a case that actually hangs at your side.

This product looks great! Just as you see it in the product photos. Color is true to what you see in the pictures here.The case is smooth, easily slides into a pocket and you can still get to all the buttons (power, volume, switch) – all easily accessible and usable with case on.Great for an active lifestyle to keep from losing your phone. The retractable carabineer is easy-to-use. Slider button on back retracts line with ease. Super easy to use.Note: The line doesn’t hold the weight of the phone on its own. For example if you clipped it to a belt loop and walk around, the movement causes the phone to continue pulling line farther down. Best recommendation for use is to clip to backpack or pants and keep inside the backpack or in a pocket during active outings.This case is easy/simple to put on the device.
