I went to AutoZone and was quoted $109 for this mirror. Then I was told they could not get it for me and I would have to go to VW parts to get it. I called them and they quoted $165 for this very mirror. I decided to take a chance and order this mirror. It fits perfectly and is such a bargain. I am thrilled with this purchase!

Bought it as a replacement for my VW Passat 2012 2.5 SE (with heated mirrors). It is the same shape & size as original. Installation was pretty quick and easy, it snaps into place with no problems and has the connectors for the heated function. So far haven't had an issue with it and hasn't fallen off

Exactly the same size as the mirror I replaced. Only took a couple of minutes to snap the old one out and snap the new one in. Felt very solid after installation.

The mirror is great, but the instructions are off. There is a spring that comes with it, an L-shaped thin strip of metal. You can see it in the photo. I am sure that if I did not have old mirror pictured here as a reference, I would have messed this up. Add the step to install the spring to the instructions. Until then, this product is potentially very aggravating to less confident DIYers.
