Does it's job!
I was hesitant to purchase this item at 1st because of all of the bad reviews I read, but I decided to give it a try and I am so glad that I did! I don't have a big tank just a 10 gallon one, but before buying this I was using a small net to clean out the bottom of my tank, which took me forever! This vac has cut my cleaning time down tremendously. When using this, it does help that I don't have a thick layer of rocks/gravel in my tank which is very useful. I find that moving it in an up and down motion and leaving it in the same spot for 5 seconds at a time prevents it from becoming clogged. The suction power I feel is just enough to get the job done, for you to be able to get rid of the waste. When you are using it, your water will get cloudy which is to be expected, but it will clear up. When you are done using it, you will need let the water drain/drip over your tank and then have a bowl near by to place the vac in so you can take it to your sink so it won't drip all over the floor. Cleanup is super easy and the filter catches a lot of the super small, tiny particles. I do suggest buying extra packs of the filters when you make your purchase, so you have them. But when cleaning the filter just treat it with care and also allow it to dry before putting it back into the cartridge, and you'll be able to get multiple uses out of it. I have been able to reuse mine up to 5x's as of now and I think I'll be able to use it at least 4 to 5 more times before I need to change it out for a new one. The only complaint I do have is it doesn't come with the hose to be able to use the water change feature, so you do have to purchase that separately, which for the price it should come with it. But other than that I am super happy with my purchase and definitely recommend.

Great cleaner!
I recently purchased the Aquarium Gravel Cleaner, and it has made maintaining my fish tank significantly easier and more efficient. As an aquarium enthusiast, keeping the tank clean is crucial for the health of my fish, and this tool has been a game-changer.The design of the gravel cleaner is simple yet highly effective. The siphon mechanism works smoothly, allowing me to quickly and easily remove debris and waste from the gravel without disturbing the fish or plants. One of the standout aspects is its efficiency in cleaning. The cleaner does an excellent job of sucking up all the dirt and uneaten food that accumulates in the gravel, leaving the substrate looking pristine. This has helped to improve the overall water quality in my tank, which is crucial for the well-being of my fish. The cleaner is also very user-friendly. It’s easy to assemble and disassemble for cleaning and storage. The tube is long enough to reach different parts of the tank without any hassle, and the materials used are sturdy and durable, ensuring that it will last for a long time.Overall, the Aquarium Gravel Cleaner is an indispensable tool for any aquarium owner. Its efficient design, ease of use, and effectiveness in maintaining a clean tank make it a must-have for keeping your aquatic environment healthy and beautiful. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and efficient way to maintain their aquarium.

It's okay.
I needed an electric vacuum or my low to the floor aquarium. This works pretty good for picking up muck without taking out water. It's very strong though so you have to watch out for your fish. It's bulky and a bit hard to move about the tank, but the pads of the filter collects everything while your water goes back to the tank. I would use filter floss to replace the pad in the future as paying $10 for a tiny pad to replace it is too high a price. Now to do a water change you don't get the hose and you take out the orange filter compartment to get to the area you put your own hose on. The tubing I have won't it over it. It's a 1/2" I believe. So I have to hold it in a bit with my fingers. It's a bit quirky and shouldn't have to do this with an expensive unit like this. It works though. Just clunky. Perhaps you could purchase a bigger hose...maybe 3/4" and it might slip tightly over the hole area (instead of 1/2" inside the hole). I don't know if there is standard aquarium tubing that is the correct size. Maybe someone could give me some ideas. For right now I am okay with a funky like way of doing water changes. This product feels a bit cheap. Not as bad as some electric gravel cleaners, but for me, the price should be maybe $35. I need a type of gravel vac as I said, to take out my low to the floor tank though so I am glad this works as good as it does. It takes out debris which is what I need for this tank right now. When the tank gets out of the "debris phase" I can just do more water changes with a little water pump and it will be much easier. You gotta do what you gotta do.This will do the job fairly easily, with a heavy duty flow intake if this is what you want. Just watch out for your fish..even though there is a protection grate over the flow intake but still it will suck in fish but at least they won't go into the impeller. All in all this is what I honestly think of the item.
