Great product. Will probably order again. Used it to make this waterfall and had about 4 extra pieces. It’s really beautiful and completely changed the look of my palladarium.

Nice stones to use in aquarium, money value is in the avarage.

The photos are misleading. The rocks are of good quality. You get a good amount for the price. And in an aquarium I am sure you would be happy with the purchase. But unless you have a dollhouse you want to use these rocks for landscaping, keep shopping. They are small and only cover a small section of a garden or landscape project.

They're good pieces of slate but it's a lot less than one would expect.They were also too thick for what I needed. The size was good but I needed flatter pieces.

The media could not be loaded.  This was supposed to be a box of 3-5 inch slate rocks. What I received was a box full of small slate chips on average about 1-2” at best with a few larger pieces placed on top. Even the larger pieces were not very good quality as they were super thin and very brittle as opposed to nice size chunks. It looked like someon had simply emptied the bottom of the bin into my box and then felt bad so placed a few slightly larger pieces on top. Very disappointing and totally worthless for me to use as hard scape in my aquarium.

I bought these to weigh some plants down in a new aquarium setup. I noticed some white substance on the rocks and I wanted to make sure it was non reactive. I always test rocks I'm unsure of to make sure they are safe for my aquarium. I use the API Nitrate NO3 test kit (use bottle #1) to see if there's a reaction on the rock. You can use other things, I just find this the most reliable and it's pretty cheap and easy to access. If I put it on the normal looking part of the rock, there was no reaction. When I put it on the white part, it instantly started bubbling. Most of the rocks I received have this on it and there seems to be veins of it throughout the rock. My advice would be to test it on several parts including the sides to make sure it's actually just slate and you aren't putting something that could hurt your aquariums ecosystem.

I did not use this for my project I because it was my fault that I ordered the wrong size also ordered the 3 x 7 slate Which was perfect for my birdbath which was needed to build stability for the birds to feel safe. So the smaller size will sit in the garage most likely it’s really too sharp and shards. .. could possibly use for plant pot filler.. was a waste really.
