Thai Taste Tamarind Paste 130g

Great stuff. I cook a lot of Thai food. Most tamarind pastes tend to be a little salty. The citrus taste in this one really comes through.

It was leaking inside the plastic bubble wrap, and no way to return it or get a replacement.

This tamarind paste is my go-to brand when I make homemade Pad Thai. I wish the jar was larger because it does take a bit to make it. The flavor is as expected and the consistency is good for cooking. I would recommend this tamarind paste.

For taste, it’s what I was looking for. BUT for the size…this is like 6 tablespoons(that’s how much I got from it) I realize this is REALLY small. And for the price. I guess it just really how it is.. I should’ve read the label.

It's a little pricey but a little goes a long way. Tasted great in my homemade Pad Thai!

I used this product in Malay curry. I normally use the preserved tamarind fruit which adds some acidity as well as a hint of tamarind. However adding sugar to the paste detracts from the effect. I don't know why sugar was added.
