Couldn't be happier
My two year old is addicted to bubbles, our previous purchase was the gazillion bubble machine which broke shortly after we got it & broke my two year olds heart, the thing also ate 8 batteries at a time. I have been using the chauvet machine outside daily for a month with no problems, people talk about the machine dripping, but with an hour use at a time I only get a few drops of bubble solution on the floor at a time. This machine has no cons for us, it literally produces thousands of bubbles a minute. Yes, it does go thru bubble soultion pretty quickly, but I've been buying a gallon of bubble soultions for $1.99 at a large chain store that starts with a W & has the word Mart in it :) It works just fine with the cheap solution. This machine is not meant to be used inside your house, but I don't know if any bubble machine should be used inside your house. The best thing about this machine is that it plugs into the wall & doesn't use batteries, which is kinda hard to tell from the description here. The only thing that slightly worries me is that the bubble formula holding tray is made out of thin plastic, but I'm sure it could be easily replaced, other than that the machine is very well made.Another great thing is that it doesn't make alot of noise, it is actually very quiet, which I am very pleased with because out last bubble machines fan made some really annoying noise.Yes this machine is a little pricey, but it is worth every penny. It has made my two year old very happy on a daily basis & is a hit during all of her play dates. I'm happy I made the splurge on this purchase.

Great Bubble Machine at a Good Price.
I operate an extensive Holiday display which uses several large bubble machines, and the Chavuet Bubble king unit is by far the best for the money. It has a durable all metal design, with a nice heavy duty mounting bracket. It also has a removable IEC Cable which is a nice touch other machines in this price range do not have. (That’s great if you want a long cord without using an extension) the bubbles are a good size, and are consistent, This definitely adds a lot of fun to my events. Only downside is that to properly fill the machine, you need to either lift up the lid or remove the Extension nozzle, which can be difficult if mounted high up. But this shouldn’t be a problem for most applications.

Lots of bubbles
Amazon sold us both the standard Chauvet B-250 and the larger Chauvet B-550 Bubble King so perhaps I can offer some comparison. Both do a good job of making lots of bubbles. The choice depends on how many bubbles you want/need.The larger B-550 Chauvet Bubble King makes about three times as many bubbles as the smaller B-250.The smaller B-250 is lighter easier to handle, store and clean. Although the exterior housing of both machines seems solid enough for their intended use, as other reviewers have pointed out, the trays for holding the bubble solution are surprisingly flimsy. When filled with fluid they are not strong enough to be picked up with one hand. You will need to use two hands to keep from breaking these delicate containers. We solved this by sorting through our old tupperware to find something close enough in size to cut down to fit.The directions warn that mounting bracket is not a reliable carrying handle because it allows the machine to tip. Believe it. In addition to spilling all your bubble fluid when the machine tips, the heavier B-550 Bubble King has enough mass to damage fingers. We removed the mounting bracket on ours to prevent accidents. When we first tired to open the machines, we found the directions are inaccurate and incomplete. The customer service team was easy to reach and polite but did not seem to know much about the products (maybe because they were looking at the instructions). That said, once you figure out how to open and close the machines to load bubbles, the operation is very simple. Fill the tray and turn it on. Little oval bubble wands rotate into the tray of bubble juice then up into a stream of air blown by a fan. (The larger machine simply has more 3 times more bubble wands and more fans.) There is no adjustment the machines are on or off. The bubbles go wherever the breeze takes them which is why we only use ours outside. We took the larger B-550 Chauvet Bubble King to an outdoor birthday party. The kids loved running through the streams of bubbles. After a half hour of bubbles there was a slight residue of bubble solution near the machine. The tiny bit of soap easily rinses off toys, clothes & kids.We compared the recommended premium bubble fluid ($16-18/gal + S&H) to some walmart bottom shelf stuff ($3-5/gal). Both are just soap so safe enough for the occasional/inevitable kid ingestion. The premium fluid produced bubbles that lasted longer (more than one minute) often floating for hundreds of feet in a gentle breeze. The low-end bubbles were actually more colorful, but popped in roughly half the time. Since the machines make thousands of bubbles per minute and we will probably opt for the cheaper fluid in most cases. We have not yet needed parts or service so can't comment on those issues.Hope this is useful.

Make sure is level
Make sure the machine is on a level surface when you use it. Otherwise, you will be disappointed. So far the only complain is from the kids that I do not use it enough. The review from the user who got shocked, he/she must have a house without a grounded outlet. Ground was completed when the case was touched. The bubble machine may be faulty, but this can happen with any appliance that does not have a good ground. This machine is not for kids to use;it is too fancy. Its main use is for professional DJs. It works great for kids under supervision. This is not a toy. Is it worth $76? Yes. Another tip is to go to the store and get the brand name Baby shampoo or dish washing soap. Not only smells good, it creates a lot of bubbles, and it is a lot cheaper.I had ordered the Chauvet AC-W Wireless Bubble Machine Remote Controller, and I received it today. The down position on the machine is for this controller. It comes with a remote control so that you can make the wheel spin and stop by holding down the button on the remote. Pretty cool. So, when you order one, you will see this on the on off switch, the II position (down) is for the AC-W wireless controller.
